Obama Reaches Out to Young Evangelicals-"There's a reaction among some evangelicals to swing out to the left in an effort to prove that evangelicals are really not that right wing," DeMoss said. "There's some concern that maybe Republicans haven't done that well. And there's this fascination with Barack Obama. So I will not be surprised if he gets one third of the evangelical vote."-See yesterdays' and the day before yesterdays' news articles.

Obama: Most Liberal Senator In 2007-"In their yearlong race for the Democratic presidential nomination, Obama and Clinton have had strikingly similar voting records. Of the 267 measures on which both senators cast votes in 2007, the two differed on only 10. "The policy differences between Clinton and Obama are so slight they are almost nonexistent to the average voter," said Richard Lau, a Rutgers University political scientist."

Where Do Obama and McCain Stand on Pro-Family Issues? -"They discuss where the candidates stand on the sanctity of human life, the defense of marriage and other issues of importance to the family."-Video

Obama would use 'bully pulpit' to advance homosexual agenda-"I support the complete repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) -- a position I have held since before arriving in the U.S. Senate."-Obama..."Bauer says to show just how "radical and controversial" Obama's proposals are, in 1996 Congress passed the Defense of Marriage Act (342-67 in the House, 85-14 in the Senate), which was then signed into law by President Bill Clinton. As Bauer puts it: "So in order to get to Hillary's left with the most radical elements of the Democratic Party, Obama is willing to embrace a position overwhelmingly rejected by Congress, a Democratic president, and 27 states that have passed marriage protection amendments by an average vote of 69%."

Obama contends belief in Jesus Christ not necessary for salvation-"In his life and in his politics, Obama said he asks himself, "How can I apply Jesus's teachings in a very concrete way?" Obama's religious beliefs have been put in the spotlight over recent revelations about his former pastor. Videotapes of some of Pastor Jeremiah Wright's sermons have been described as being racist and anti-America. Yesterday, the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination for president referred to those sermon remarks as being "stupid," but he continues to reject suggestions that he should have left the church because of that kind of preaching from his pastor."-03/27/2008

Barack Obama: One mixed-up spirit-"Long before he became a presidential contender, Barack Obama gave an in-depth interview about his faith....What it reveals today is that the front-running candidate to assume the most powerful elective position in the world is one mixed-up puppy. I commend all Americans to read the Chicago Sun-Times piece – especially all those professing a Christian faith. What he says is alarming. What he says shows he has a fundamental misunderstanding of what it means to be a Christian...Asked what he believes, Obama chimed in: "I am a Christian. I'm rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people. That there are values that transcend race or culture, that move us forward, and there's an obligation for all of us individually as well as collectively to take responsibility to make those values lived."

Media Fail To Report Obama Using Jesus' Words To Justify Same-Sex Unions-"If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount [given by Jesus], which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than some obscure passage in Romans."-See the "obscure" passage in Romans here and view the Sermon on the Mount here.

Not a single paper or network covers Obama rejecting the Book of Romans’ teaching on homosexuality.-"Either the media fail to recognize the significance of Obama twisting the meaning of the Sermon on the Mount and rejecting the book of Romans, or they are covering up for their preferred candidate."

Sermon from Mt. Obama Raises Big Questions-"If a law banning abortion must explain “why abortion violates some principle that is accessible to people of all faith, including those with no faith at all,” doesn’t the converse require explanation? In other words, why don't you have to explain your support for legalized abortion by “some principle that is accessible to people of all faiths, including those with no faith at all”?"-See yesterdays' and the day before yesterdays' news articles. concerning Obamas' voting record on abortion.

Faith Group Condemns Obama for 'Punished with a Baby' Quote-"The Christian Defense Coalition condemns Senator Obama for saying that a young single woman having a baby would be punishing them. Senator Obama recently made this statement speculating if one of his two young daughters became pregnant. He said, "But if they made a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby." Native Americans: A Forgotten People?-"The Crow Creek Sioux reservation lies in Buffalo County. Its per capita income of just a little more than $5,000 a year makes it the poorest county in the country. On some reservations, unemployment runs as high as 80 percent. Compare that statistic to less than five percent for the U.S. as a whole."
