Update to blog I posted on 06/16/2008 titled Is Obama using smear tactics on "the most listened to radio talk show in America"?

Apparently, Obama's web site managers have updated his web-site to correct the glaring hypocritical smear of Rush Limbaugh on Obama's very own "fight the smears" web site. I suspected they might recognize the hypocrisy and correct Obama's web site and so I made a PDF of this page on 06/16/2008 in case they were to change it for protection of the legitimacy of my blog. You can look now on the same link and see that it has been changed so, I am now posting an image copy of the first page of that PDF here so that my credibility as a blogger isn't jeopardized. Until Obama publicly apologizes for the time that Obama's smear of Rush was on his web site for the public to site and see, I think it's only fair to display a copy for proof here on my blog. It is not fair for bloggers as myself and many other journalists to have quoted from that link and then now we all look like we are smearing Obama when actually we were reporting a hypocritical political attack on one of his conservative opponents. Not only this, but this was a smear against "the most listened to talk radio show in America" bearing in mind the concern that many talk show hosts and conservatives have concerning the Fairness Doctrine, which, for many equate into government controlled talk radio which could easily be used to favor the political party that is in control of the government at the time of the regulation.

I copied and pasted what I posted on 06/16/2008 below. You can click on image above to get a close up for original wording on Obama's web site and then click on http://www.fightthesmears.com/ for the corrected wording.

Is Obama smearing Rush?-"News item: Barack Obama campaign starts new Web site to fight smears from political opponents at http://www.fightthesmears.com/. The first smear mentioned: "LIE: Rush Limbaugh says a tape exists of Michelle Obama using the word 'whitey' from the pulpit of Trinity United." Well. No. This is what Limbaugh said: "The rumor is -- and we don't like dealing with rumors here -- but the rumor is that Michelle Obama from the pulpit of this church used the term 'whitey.' Some are saying be very careful with this because she might have said 'why'd he,' why did he, the contraction 'why'd he' instead of 'whitey.' " He added: "I can't find anybody who's seen it." So while Limbaugh was happy to wallow in the rumor, he was careful not to claim the tape exists."

Rush Blamed for "Whitey" Rumor-"BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: This Michelle (My Belle) Obama "whitey" rumor, the tape and so forth, the DVD that was out there, I heard about this for two weeks before I ever commented on this. I heard about it for two weeks. I didn't talk about it. I didn't repeat it. I didn't reference it, and then all of a sudden I see that some in the Drive-By Media think that Hannity has the tape and that he is holding the tape. Then some other people said the RNC had the tape and they're going to hold the tape 'til October, they were not going to release it prior to the Democrat nomination fight finishing 'cause they didn't want to get rid of Obama because they think he's the weakest candidate of the two, since Hillary was on her way out, let's leave her out. And then after two or three weeks of this, I did mention it as a rumor going around 'cause it had reached critical mass and there were people saying that they had seen it, but they wouldn't produce it...If they're going to have a website here called "fight the smears" or whatever. Well, I'm thinking I might put up my own website, "fight the Obama smears" website, the "fight the Drive-By Media smears" website."-Rush Limbaugh web site.
