Jill Stanek on her blog responds to Obama's claim that she and others like her are lying. The documents provided by the Obama campaign don't prove at all that she is lying. Obama is smearing Jill in the name of non smearing. See Obama's smear of Rush and correction of the smear on his web site with no apology at Obama's Web Site Changes without an Apology.
Below is a video interview documenting that Obama claimed those of the pro-life community that are revealing these new documents concerning his voting record on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act are "lying" twice, "out and out misrepresent"ing his "positions, even after they know that they're wrong." and "people" who "keep on pushing this is offensive and it's an example of the kind of politics that we have to get beyond". Feel free to view his response to the claims below and ask yourself how does this prove the documents are lying.
Jill Stanek Responds in her blog below
Obama continues to misrepresent Born Alive vote- "Obama was obviously aware of the evidence provided last week by National Right to Life when making the statement. He not only continued to deny his vote in the face of 2 pieces of documentation showing otherwise but called the messenger a liar....Obama first voted in favor of Amendment #1 and then voted against the Born Alive bill as amended. It couldn't be more clear. Furthermore, here is the Republican Senate Staff Analysis from that day, expressing the same understanding of the chain of events:
Senator Obama needs to show his own evidence that none of this is true."-Especially before smearing reputable pro-lifers. Included in this blog are photos of the document that prove Jill's position.
The Obama campaign responded with documents of their own to disprove these claims and Jill again shows that Obama's documents only prove her point when taking all the documents into account.
Jill's blog documents:
Obama campaign continues to lie about his Born Alive vote-"This morning Eric Zorn of the Chicago Tribune posted a response from the Obama campaign to this week's revelation that Obama actually did vote against an identical version of the federal Born Alive while state senator, contrary to his repeated statements over the years otherwise.
Here's what Zorn said the Obama campaign sent him...Well, if that doesn't beat all. They're continuing to lie despite documentation. I expected many responses, but not that one.
Below is the vote tally, from the IL General Assembly archives. Anyone can get this vote tally by contacting the ILGA. Click to enlarge. "DP#1" means "Do Pass Amendment #1." "DPA" means "Do Pass as Amended""...Obama first voted to accept Amendment #1 (i.e., paragraph c) and then voted against the amended bill, which was identical to the federal Born Alive bill."-Included in this blog are photo view of documents from the Obama campaign and Jill's documents.
Notice that this all proves that Jill is not "lying" twice, "out and out misrepresent"ing his "positions, even after they know that they're wrong." and "people" who "keep on pushing this is offensive and it's an example of the kind of politics that we have to get beyond". This only goes to document evidence of the legitimacy of the claims of this nurse and those on her side in the pro life community and the hypocritical smear tactics of Obama.
National Right to Life responds to Obama
Jill's blog documents:
NRLC throws down gauntlet to Obama: Call your Born Alive votes forgeries-"The following statement was just issued by National Right to Life Committee Legislative Director Douglas Johnson, in response to the David Brody interview with Barack Obama last night:
"Since 2004, Obama has been betting that the mainstream news media will lack the interest and attention span required to get a clear picture of his actual record regarding infants who are born alive during abortions, and so far that mostly has worked for him.
In his short interview with David Brody, Obama tripled his bet on that proposition by calling us liars. He also relied on diversionary verbal smokescreens, but without directly addressing the newly discovered 2003 documentation that proves the falsity of his account.
We now challenge Obama to either declare the two 2003 legislative documents to be forgeries and call for an official investigation, or else apologize for his four years of misrepresentation on the issue of babies who are born alive during abortions - and for calling us liars."
Obama admits the documents are correct and changes response
Jill's blog reports Obama campaign admits that National Right to Life and Jill Stanek are not lying and are correct.
Breaking news: Obama campaign changes story, admits he misrepresented Born Alive vote-"His campaign yesterday acknowledged that he had voted against an identical bill in the state Senate, and a spokesman, Hari Sevugan, said the senator and other lawmakers had concerns that even as worded, the legislation could have undermined existing Illinois abortion law. Those concerns did not exist for the federal bill, because there is no federal abortion law....Bearing in mind the Obama campaign now admits he voted as state senator against the very same legislation passed overwhelmingly on the federal level to stop infanticide."
Now who is doing the "lying" twice, "out and out misrepresent"ing his "positions, even after they know that they're wrong." and "people" who "keep on pushing this is offensive and it's an example of the kind of politics that we have to get beyond"!!!!
Praise the Lord!!! May this issue continue to get the intention it deserves and may Jill continue to be that stumbling block for Obama's campaign for the sake of the lives of the unborn and the salvation and/or maturity in the personal life of Obama. I am believing and praying for CHANGE in the life of Obama and the democrat party. More on the providence of God over this issue tomorrow in Jill Stanek vs Obama part 3.....

Survivors-"Survivors is a Christian, pro-life activism organization dedicated to educating and activating high school and college age individuals. If you were born after 1972, we challenge you to consider yourself a Survivor of the Abortion Holocaust. 1/3 of your generation has been killed by abortion in America! The Survivors are taking an active stand on behalf of those who have already been lost, and for those who are scheduled to die through abortion. We are empowered by the truth, enabled by extensive training, and unafraid of condemning the death of innocents."
Obama, McCain differ greatly on abortion issue-"Senator Obama (D-Illinois) told Pastor Rick Warren he was not sure when an unborn baby should be considered a human life worth protecting. "I think that whether you're looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity is above my pay grade," said Obama....Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) on the other hand, strongly declared that he believes a baby is entitled to human rights at the moment of conception. "I have a twenty-five year pro-life record in the Congress, in the Senate and as president of the United States, I will be a pro-life president and this presidency will have pro-life policies," he stated. "That's my commitment. That's my commitment to you."-See Media's no emphasis of abortion as an issue hurting McCain and helping Obama/Obama on Fatherhood/The Physiology of Motherhood/Bush vs Clinton.
Post-Abortion Women Challenge Psychologists’ Claim of ‘Harmless’ Abortions-"Women who have had abortions, scientists, and pro-life advocates are joining forces to refute the findings of an American Psychological Association (APA) task force that claims women who have one abortion do not experience any more mental problems than women who decide to give birth. “The best scientific evidence published indicates that among adult women who have an unplanned pregnancy, the relative risk of mental health problems is no greater if they have a single elective first-trimester abortion or deliver the pregnancy,” said Brenda Mayor, lead psychologist on the APA task force, in a press release about the report, which was released last week. The study has outraged women like Leslee Unruh, whose decision to have an abortion inspired her to dedicate her life to helping other women who she says have lived to regret that decision and who say they have suffered both emotional and physical damage as a result. “It’s one thing to take our money and do what they did to harm us,” Unruh, who founded the Alpha Center pregnancy resource in her home state of South Dakota and is the moving force behind Initiated Measure 11 on the state’s November ballot to ban abortion, told CNSNews.com. “It’s another to dismiss our grieving. That is the ultimate slap.”-See South Dakota vs Planned Parenthood: Abortion free state for 12 days and running!!! "Repeated requests by CNSNews.com to interview several members of the APA task force, including Major, and separate requests for comments from the APA were not answered by press time. Alveda King, niece of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Alveda King, niece of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., evoked her famous uncle’s call for civil rights for all people, including pregnant women and their unborn children, in reaction to the report. “(Abortion) violates the civil rights and human rights of the baby in the womb and then it hurts the mother,” King, who has had two abortions and a miscarriage related to those abortions, told CNSNews.com. She added that most post-abortion women she has met say they have suffered irrevocable damage. “The (APA) wants to say we are the exception to the rule … but for every one woman they can find that says they weren’t harmed by abortion … they could find 10 women who were,” said King. King, who works on pro-life causes with Priests for Life, was one of 2,000 like-minded women who signed sworn affidavits of the harm caused them by having an abortion as part of the Gonzales v. Carhart case, in which the Supreme Court ruled to uphold the ban on partial-birth abortion."
Abortion Linked Condition Contributes to Growing Number of Infant Deaths-"According to new statistics released today from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), premature babies - babies born too soon and too small - accounted for a growing proportion of infant deaths. When linked with previous studies that have shown that abortion increases a woman's chance of having a baby prematurely, the conclusion is that women who have had abortions are more likely to bear children who die as infants or suffer from severe health issues. According to "Infant Mortality Statistics from the 2005 Period Linked Birth/Infant Death Data Set," Vol. 57, No. 2, of the National Vital Statistics Report, low birth weight and preterm birth are leading causes of infant mortality and the rates of both have increased steadily since the mid-1980s....The findings of the NCHS help identify abortion as a leading cause of infant mortality, with former studies having revealed that women who have had abortions in the past are much more likely to give birth prematurely. An article appearing in a 2007 Journal of Reproductive Medicine concluded that nearly 32 percent of "very preterm" U.S. births, that is, before 32 weeks gestation, are due to the mother having had a prior abortion. Furthermore, after analyzing data on 1,943 very preterm births, 276 moderately preterm babies and 618 full-term controls, Dr. Caroline Moreau of Hopital de Bicetre and colleagues concluded in 2005 that women with a history of abortion were 1.5 times more likely to give birth very prematurely (under 33 weeks gestation), and 1.7 times more likely to have a baby born extremely (under 28 weeks gestation) preterm. Their findings were reported in the April issue of the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, a peer-reviewed medical journal."
Pro-Life Medical Personnel Could Be Forced to Support Abortion-"Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt has not yet decided if he will draft a new regulation to ensure that doctors who object to abortion are protected from discrimination and that federally funded medical entities comply with federal laws, according to his Aug. 7 blog on the HHS Web site."
Obama bias at the Washington Post
Washington Post Ombudsman: '3 to 1' Obama Front Page Advantage-"Washington Post ombudsman Deborah Howell reviewed how many stories the newspaper put on the front page about John McCain and Barcak Obama over the past ten weeks and discovered a wide gap in favor of Obama, a "disparity," she declared, "so wide that it doesn't look good." Howell, the Washington Bureau chief and editor of Newhouse News from 1990 until 2005, outlined in her weekly Sunday column what she determined: "Democrat Barack Obama has had about a 3 to 1 advantage over Republican John McCain in Post Page 1 stories since Obama became his party's presumptive nominee June 4. Obama has generated a lot of news by being the first African American nominee, and he is less well known than McCain -- and therefore there's more to report on. But the disparity is so wide that it doesn't look good."
Specifically, "in overall political stories from June 4 to Friday, Obama dominated by 142 to 96. Obama has been featured in 35 stories on Page 1; McCain has been featured in 13, with three Page 1 references with photos to stories on inside pages." That "dovetails with Obama's dominance in photos, which I pointed out two weeks ago. At that time, it was 122 for Obama and 78 for McCain."
[This item, by the MRC's Brent Baker, was posted Sunday night on the MRC's blog, NewsBusters.org: newsbusters.org ]
She also recalled Obama's dominance during his overseas trip: "When Obama traveled to the Middle East and Europe, the coverage dwarfed that of McCain -- six Page 1 stories from July 19 to July 27, plus an earlier front-page story announcing the trip. McCain managed one Page 1 story and one Page 1 reference; the July 25 story said he might pick a vice presidential candidate soon, but that didn't happen."
