John McCain's Weekly Radio Address-"U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today released the text of John McCain's weekly radio address for tomorrow morning. The text and audio file are embargoed until tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. EDT. DOWNLOAD THE AUDIO FILE HERE: http://www.johnmccain.com/Downloads/082208_B.mp3...at what point, in my opponent's view, does a baby have human rights? Senator Obama thought about it for a moment, and came back with the reply that the question was, quote, "above my pay grade." Here was a candidate for the presidency of the United States, asked for his position on one of the central moral and legal questions of our time, and this was the best he could offer: It's above his pay grade. He went on to assure his interviewer that there is a, quote, "moral and ethical element to this issue." Americans expect more of their leaders....Listening to my opponent at Saddleback, you would never know that this is a politician who long since left behind any middle ground on the abortion issue. He is against parental notification laws, and against restrictions on taxpayer funding for abortions. In the Illinois Senate, a bipartisan majority passed legislation to prevent the horrific practice of partial-birth abortion. Senator Obama opposed that bill, voting against it in committee and voting "present" on the Senate floor....In 2002, Congress unanimously passed a federal law to require medical care for babies who survive abortions -- living, breathing babies whom Senator Obama described as, quote, "previable." This merciful law was called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Illinois had a version of the same law, and Barack Obama voted against it. At Saddleback, he assured a reporter that he'd have voted "yes" on that bill if it had contained language similar to the federal version of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Even though the language of both the state and federal bills was identical, Senator Obama said people were, quote, "lying" about his record. When that record was later produced, he dropped the subject but didn't withdraw the slander. And now even Senator Obama's campaign has conceded that his claims and accusations were false. For a man who talks so often about "hope," Senator Obama doesn't offer much of it in meeting this great challenge to the conscience of America. His extreme advocacy in favor of partial birth abortion and his refusal to provide medical care for babies surviving abortion should be of grave concern to reasonable people of goodwill on both sides of this issue. There is a growing consensus in America that we need to overcome narrow partisanship on this issue for both women in need and the unborn."
McCain Goes There-"John McCain largely has avoided hot button social issues to the consternation of some in the conservative base. He has ignored the brewing controversy over Barack Obama’s Born Alive Infants legislative voting record and he hasn’t made much comment on the highly successful (for him) Rick Warren forum. That all seemed to end with Saturday’s radio address....But McCain didn’t stop there. He explained (to those who may have been deprived of any meaningful MSM coverage) the Born Alive Infants legislative history...Why has McCain decided to go after Obama on these points, and why now? Several reasons, I think. First, he is forcing the MSM to cover issues they don’t want to and haven’t covered except in passing. The combination of Edwards-itis (the disinclination to cover bad stories about Democrats) and VP-mania has resulted in practically no public discussion and coverage outside the blogosphere and conservative media on the Born Alive Infants issue. McCain is upping the ante and putting a spotlight on it...Third, he believes that Obama’s positions are so extreme that even generally pro-choice voters will recoil if presented with some basic facts about his opponent...Will this work? Time will tell, but when the MSM is avoiding issues that shed doubt on the character, veracity and purported “moderation” of a Democrat, chances are that his Republican opponent would be wise to pursue them."-See more on Born Alive Infant Protection Act and Jill Stanek the nurse that brought this to the attention of legislators one being by starting with a 7 part series at New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection.
Stanek
Stanek reports that she will be reporting on the Democrat National Convention
Stanek to attend Democrat Convention-"I mentioned awhile back I had been rejected to attend the Democrat National Convention as a blogger. Rejected bloggers were encouraged to apply to cover the convention from The Big Tent a few blocks from the convention, sponsored by Daily Kos and Progress Now. I figured why not and did....I was surprised I was accepted(!), along with a couple hundred or so other bloggers. Sponsors said although thousands applied, they chose applicants based on geographical and ideological diversity. I may be the token pro-lifer, not sure...SO! I will be live blogging from the DNC next week! If all goes well, I'll not only provide commentary and news but also video and photos. I have even registered to attend the pro-abortion group EMILY's List now-sold-out gala with guest speakers Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama. Now that should be interesting. I plan also to cover pro-life events and pickets."-See more on who Stanek is by going to her web site at http://www.jillstanek.com/ and/or click on the first of a 7 part series I blogged concerning her and the Born Alive Infant Protection Act at New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection (starting with two documents that proved that Obama was misrepresenting his reason for not voting for protection of babies who survived an abortion to the re-entry of Obama's pastor and church into the mess and then lastly, McCain makes an issue of it in a recent radio address.)
Democrat National Convention: Prequel-"Pro-life activists from everywhere have descended upon Denver to remind Democrats what their party stands for. I've never seen so many activist groups in one place. It's wild. Truth trucks everywhere. Aborted baby signs everywhere, some in stationary groups along streets, some on small banners carried by 2 people along sidewalks. Lots of young people...This afternoon pro-life friends Leslie Hanks, Ed and Lolita Hanks (my gracious hosts for the week), Operation Rescue's Troy Newman, and 25 pro-life teens attended the premier of Hype: The Obama Effect. It included a segment with me relaying Obama's Born Alive opposition. Here's a photo from the screening of Troy (who will have daily video reports from the DNC), saline abortion survivor Brandi Lozier, and me...Tonight I wandered to the Denver Convention Center to spot the pro-Obama crowd ridiculing pro-life activist Randall Terry . Consider what they're mocking. It's a sick world....

Events on Saturday, August 23, 2008, included: An exchange between pro-lifers and pro-death people on the streets of Denver. A Rose Memorial for the Pre-Born at the Pepsi Center, site of the DNC. Introduction of a young woman who survived a saline abortion. Photographs are also available of the pro-life outreach at the DNC. Click here to view photographs of the action. Read Rocky Mountain News article, Aug. 23, 2008"-Operation Rescue is the organization that extended the truth and grace in Christ to Norma McCorvey who is the Roe of Roe vs Wade who has since that court decision come to regret her position at that time but has found mercy and grace in repentance, forgiveness and faith in Jesus Christ. See her testimony before the Senate in 2005 as she testifies before Senate at Testimony of Roe of Roe vs Wade.
Also, concerning the media attention and/or lack of attention check out Jill Stanek vs Obama. Obama a Providential God send? and Jill Stanek vs Obama and the mainstream media. The Media attention continues to mount.., Jill Stanek vs Obama. Introducing a new term, Obamaside. Have you ever been Obamasided? Let me explain..., and Obama caught smearing the pro-life community on video and yet claims to understand and respect our views!!! Reenter Jeremiah Wright and Obama's Church. One of the biggest hurdles of the unborn is lack of public awareness which is the fault of the mainstream media rarely giving attention to this issue at all. So when you enter the voting booth this year please do consider the unborn and the media and consider that without conservative radio, religious radio broadcasting and the internet nobody would no nothing about the issue which can only disadvantage the unborn. Vote in favour of the unborn by voting for a candidate that makes it an issue and will not stifle the freedom of speech on the radio or the internet. Check out the Fairness Doctrine. You may need to scroll down and see what the issue is and why this matters.
Will the media report on what the above reporters will be reporting on to give another side of the Democrat National Convention and abortion issue? If not then should we not start with ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS first after these mediums of information are more accessible to all then any others to date? Just a note that not one Democrat voted to allow the bill to ban the Fairness Doctrine permanently!!!

Today Pro-life Groups Will Announce Final Plans for Public Demonstrations and Vigils at the Democratic National Convention in Denver-"The name of the event is "A Prayer for Change," and you can go to Aprayerforchange.com to find out more information and schedule. The organizations intend to hold public rallies and vigils in Denver parks, demonstrations throughout the city including Senator Obama's and delegates hotels, prayer and leaving roses at the Pepsi Center, distributing literature and holding major pro-life witnesses at various venues throughout Denver with banners, trucks and cutting edge public events. The purpose of "A Prayer for Change," is to pray to end the violence and injustice of abortion and to educate America on the radical and extremist abortion policies of Senator Obama. Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition in Washington, D.C. states, "We are coming to the DNC in Denver to pray for an end to abortion and the tragic crushing of human rights and social injustice that abortion produces. Through prayer and cutting edge public events, pro-life activists intend to expose the radical pro-abortion policies of Senator Obama. We will be especially focusing on educating faith voters across America. "To accomplish this goal, we have recently launched a new website called, Obamawantsyou.com which details Senator Obama's radical pro-abortion policies. If elected, Senator Obama would be 'The Abortion President,' with the most extremist views of any President in American history."
ADF: Pro-abortion activists wrong on federal rights of conscience rule-"The Alliance Defense Fund submitted a letter Friday to U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Michael O. Leavitt disputing the claims of pro-abortion groups critical of a proposed rights of conscience rule. The rule would provide protections for health care workers who have a moral objection to prescribing abortion-inducing drugs. “No one should be allowed to decide for someone else that an innocent life is worthless,” said ADF Legal Counsel Matt Bowman. “Pro-life health care workers should be allowed to abide by their beliefs.”....The full text of the ADF letter is available at www.telladf.org/UserDocs/HHSletter.pdf."
Administration Backs Pro-Life Doctors-"The Bush administration wants more protection for doctors who are against abortion. Thursday, the Health and Human Services Department said doctors should not face retaliation from employers or medical societies because of moral objections to abortion. A former ob-gyn who is pro-life applauds the new rule. "Health care providers shouldn't have to check their conscience at the hospital door," she said. The regulation is being challenged by abortion rights supporters. They say women's health care is being compromised by politics and ideology."
Pro-Abortion Groups Mobilize to Defeat Dakota Pro-Life Initiative-"National pro-abortion groups are mobilizing to defeat a South Dakota initiative on the November ballot that would ban abortion except in cases of rape, incest or a threat to the life of the mother. These groups see the initiative as the potential "first step" in a legal challenge to Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion-on-demand nationwide. The principal pro-life organizer behind the South Dakota initiative, meanwhile, does not dispute this perception. "Let’s not kid ourselves," Nancy Keenan, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice America, told reporters at a press conference in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday. "The people behind this effort (want) to make South Dakota the first step in a long-term campaign to mount a legal challenge to Roe (vs. Wade)." Keenan was joined by two other national pro-abortion figures, Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parent Action Fund, the political arm of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and Anthony Romero, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). "It seems desperate to me that they would hold a press conference in Washington, D.C.," Leslee Unruh, leader of the South Dakota organization behind Initiated Measure 11, "Vote Yes on Life," told CNSNews.com. Unruh said that calling national attention to her state's third attempt in almost as many years to ban abortion might backfire on the pro-abortion groups. "Grassroots always trumps money in South Dakota," Unruh said. "People in South Dakota don't like it if they think someone nationally is trying to tell them what to do."...Unruh told CNSNews.com she is not hiding the fact that she would like to take a South Dakota abortion ban to the Supreme Court and challenge Roe v. Wade. "The first (ballot measure) was designed for South Dakota and South Dakota only," Unruh said. "This time, it is designed to go to the Supreme Court." South Dakota has been at the center of two other landmark actions related to abortion. It sponsored the first state task force to study abortion and its effects on women, and a federal court recently upheld a 2005 South Dakota law that requires doctors to tell patients that an abortion will "terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being." Alveda King, niece of the late Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.; Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life; and Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, have endorsed Initiated Measure 11."-See South Dakota vs Planned Parenthood: Abortion free state for 12 days and running!!!.
