I am amazed that the more I find out about this issue the more I am unhappy with my choices of media over the years and concerned for other's lack of information. If all I did was listen to Public TV I would have many stories missed and gone unheard of that would have greatly encouraged not only my faith, my view of the unborn but also my ability as a voter to be 1) inspired to get involved and 2) to vote being an informed voter on all the issues including the moral one's which are the issues that in my opinion will determine whether or not God blesses our nation with a good economy, health and national security. These moral issues are largely ignored on Public TV.

I am deeply dissappointed that I never knew about the Testimony of Roe of Roe vs Wade until this year from conservative christian sources nor would I be aware of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act and how Obama relates to it (see New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection) or the Partial Birth Abortion Ban signed and then later upheld in the Bush appointed courts and then later the testimonies in that case were used in South Dakota to run Planned Parenthood out of the state (see South Dakota vs Planned Parenthood: Abortion free state for 12 days and running!!!) and Colorado's ballot initiative to define human life from conception amendment to their constitution (See Is the Democrat National Convention a Providential God Send to the state of Colorado for the sake of the unborn? )and many other like stories that concern and encourage social conservative voters. Here is another one that I briefly heard about somewhere probabily in a conservative christian circle of some sort. Now this is many years ago but check this out...and with God anything is possible (see below and see Jill Stanek vs Obama. Obama a Providential God send?)

Testimony of co-founder of Naral

Friday Five: Former Abortionist Dr. Bernard Nathanson-"Dr. Bernard Nathanson is personally responsible for 75,000 abortions. He is the co-founder of NARAL — the National Abortion Rights Action League — and for years ran the largest abortion clinic in the world. Today, Nathanson is a leading life advocate and has traveled the world sharing his message through books, documentaries and lectures. "As a scientist, I know, not believe, know that human life begins at conception," he wrote in his book The Hand of God: A Journey from Death to Life. Nathanson spoke to CitizenLink about his profound change of heart...The revenue in those days was $6 million a year from just doing abortions...In 1973, we began to move to new technology, principally ultrasound, which was revolutionary in our understanding the human fetus and when life begins. As a result of that technology, and others such as electronic fetal-heart monitoring, I began a long, slow process of changing my mind on the subject of inhumanity of the fetus and the ability of our society to protect that humanity...In 1984, I became curious about what actually happens during an abortion. So, I prevailed upon a friend of mine who worked at an abortion clinic to put on the abdomen of the women an ultrasound apparatus to give us an ongoing, filmed presentation of what happened during an abortion. That film — The Silent Scream — was viewed more widely than any documentary in history. It is said that President Reagan, when he saw it, cried....The pregnancy counseling centers where they show The Silent Scream and other ultrasound films are very effective in bringing to women the humanity of the fetus. But largely, the question falls into the political realm. That is (why we) must work to elect pro-life leaders in the Senate, the House of Representatives and in the White House, and assure that whoever's in the White House appoints pro-life judges to the Supreme Court. That’s where we are bound to make the most progress."-to see The Silent Scream video "THIS WEBSITE GRAPHICALLY SHOWS AN ABORTION 11 WEEKS AFTER CONCEPTION AND THEREFORE SHOULD NOT BE VIEWED BY CHILDREN."

Now that was years ago but here is a testimony in more recent times

Ex-Abortion Clinic Owner Tells Pro-life Group Truth about Abortion Business-"The United Methodist pro-life ministry Lifewatch recently hosted a free luncheon featuring former abortion clinic owner Carol Everett. Everett spent six years working in the abortion industry in the early 80s, before experiencing a profound conversion. In 1995 she founded the Heidi Group - a group of inner-city crisis pregnancy centers named after one of Everett's own children that she aborted in 1973....Everett has testified in the past that while she was working in the abortion industry she was on track to make over a million dollars a year. "You can imagine what my motivation was," she said. "I sold abortions." In order to sell as many abortions as possible the telephone "counselors" at Everett's clinics were trained to lead distraught women callers to think that there is only one solution to their unwanted pregnancy, and then to assure women that their child is only a "blob of tissue" and that the procedure itself will be basically painless..."When we opened" Everett told Lifewatch, "we did 45 abortions in the first month. The last month (we were opened) we did 545." Everett was paid $25 per abortion."-See her comments in this advertisement for a video documentary on Feminism from a conservative perspective..

Rebecca is the 38-year-old daughter of American feminist author and activist Alice Walker and she has written that, despite the feminist dogmas that guide her mother's life, being a mother has "opened my world." The Daily Mail quotes her saying, "Having a child has been the most rewarding experience of my life." Last year, Rebecca Walker published a book, "Baby Love: Choosing Motherhood After a Lifetime of Ambivalence" in which she discusses her changing attitude toward marriage, motherhood and feminism. Rebecca, herself a leading feminist thinker, writes that she nearly missed out on being a mother "thanks to being brought up by a rabid feminist who thought motherhood was about the worst thing that could happen to a woman." "You see, my mum taught me that children enslave women. I grew up believing that children are millstones around your neck, and the idea that motherhood can make you blissfully happy is a complete fairytale." Alice Walker is regarded as an "icon" of the American feminist movement and is the author of the acclaimed novel "The Color Purple," for which she won the Pulitzer Prize. "The Color Purple" was made into a successful film by Steven Spielberg."

Jill Stanek's coverage of the DNC

Democrat National Convention: Day 3-"I attended a standing room only Democrats for Life press conference this afternoon. PA Senator Bob Casey, who gave a speech at last night's convention, was on hand, as was NC Congressman Heath Shuler of NC...DFL prez and friend Kristen Day didn't call on me to ask my question, I suspect on purpose. Others did ask how these pro-lifers could support such a radical pro-abort as Obama. Re: his promise to sign the Freedom of Choice Act, Shuler responded, "I don't see it leaving the House."...I've been getting more and more requests for interviews about Obama and Born Alive. I gave 4 today, including one that got me into the Pepsi Center for a short time, where Democrats are holding their convention. There I spotted Randi Rhoades of Air America infamy on Radio Row....Finally, I attended an early evening protest by the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust. The group first replaced flowers on The Children's Wall at the Pepsi Center entrance, as they have done every day of the convention. The flowers have remained untouched.
Then the Survivors staged a "Die In," to emulate abortion deaths against a backdrop of large graphic photos of aborted babies with the caption, "Barack Obama Change This."
Here's video I took of the event...."

West Virginia

Like Obama, perhaps, West Virginia gives babies no human rights-"In other words, it is perfectly legal for a doctor in West Virginia, upon failing to abort a pre-born child, to allow birth and then choose not to render aid. Not oxygen. Not CPR. Indeed, not even a blanket for warmth . . ."

California

Good News: California Judge Sides with Life Advocates on Ballot Language-"When California voters receive their official ballot guides in the mail, they can read about "Sarah," a 15-year-old who died of blood poisoning in 1994 following an abortion. Sarah's story is the impetus behind Prop. 4, which would require abortionists to notify parents, guardians or family members 48 hours before performing abortions on minors. Planned Parenthood and others sought to have Sarah's story struck from the guide because they claim the measure would not have helped Sarah. Catherine Short, the attorney for Prop. 4 supporters, said the ballot proposal could have enhanced Sarah's chances of survival. "Had someone in her family known, Sarah's life could have been saved," Short told The Sacramento Bee."

UK

Talk a Woman out of Abortion in the UK? Two Years Jail-"Crisis pregnancy centres, as well as doctors, nurses and midwives, may be subject to prosecution and a two-year jail sentence if they convince a woman to forego an abortion. Under a proposed amendment to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill, those groups advertising services to pregnant women who provide "false information" or even information that is "factually correct" that convinces a woman to change her mind about abortion, will have committed an offense. Tabled by one of David Cameron's Tory MPs, John Bercow, the amendment says, "It shall be an offence to deliberately mislead through advertising in relation to the termination of pregnancy and alternatives thereto." Bercow has recently gone on record in support of an effort to bring explicit "sex-education" to six-year-old children in mandatory school curriculums."

Democrat Party

David Limbaugh: The “Making Abortion Rare” Hoax-"ABC reports that the group “Democrats for Life,” whose title gives new meaning to “oxymoronic,” decided last week not to press the Democratic Party to restore a life-tolerant “conscience clause” to its party platform. Isn’t it time the party quit this charade that it wants to make abortion “rare”?"
