Sarah Palin on the media in her acceptance speech and Actor Voight and Newt Gingrich

Palin delivers star-turning performance at RNC-"Facing down her critics with smiling resolve, Palin took crowd-delighting swipes at Obama and what she called the Washington elite. "Here's a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion. I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this country," she said."-How would you rate Palin's acceptance speech? Vote in our poll. Other including Conservative Actor Jon Voight express their concerns over Big Media.

Woe and wow!!!

CHALLENGE TO BIG MEDIA FROM NOBODY BLOGGER!!!!

If the Big Media wants to prove that they are not Pro-Obama then all they have to do is do a neutral story on Obama and the Born Alive Infant Protection Act or better yet do a story that is equally as scrutinizing of his position on this issue as they are on Palin and her family and her issues!!! The later will never happen but maybe just maybe the first can!!! (See McCain, Stanek, Orielly, Hannity and Operation Rescue to report on what the mainstream media continues to cover up: the issue of abortion..., Liberal "SuperStar" Obama vs Social Conservative/Evangelical "Superstar" Palin in Big Media coverage and RNC has made Big Media an issue!!! and Update: Factcheck.org confirms Obama's misrepresentation, Providence/Colorado and the DNC? (possibly the largest protest sign ever this week in CO.) and below!!!

C-SPAN caller: Why is the GOP not publicizing Obama/Born Alive?-"I've been doing a lot of radio interviews the last couple weeks about Barack Obama's opposition to Born Alive, sometimes 4 a day. (To the right is a photo of Mancow and me when I interviewed in his studio Tuesday.) Below is a clip from C-SPAN September 2 where a caller described hearing me on the radio (he got the facts mostly right) and asked MN Gov. Tim Pawlenty why the GOP isn't making a bigger deal if it is indeed true that Barack Obama voted against a bill to stop abortion survivors from being left to die. It is indeed true, of course. And from I see, GOP talking heads are bringing this up whenever they have the opportunity."

Is this a hint of an unfolding that Big Media is going to have to sooner or later deal with? Why not take the challenge now? (See video interview of Heather Wilson of New Mexico as evidence this may be an issue up and coming at Liberal "SuperStar" Obama vs Social Conservative/Evangelical "Superstar" Palin in Big Media coverage and RNC has made Big Media an issue!!!)

Social Conservatives play a bigger part then Big Media thought

Commentary: Palin Adds to Euphoria over Strength of GOP Platform-"The roar when Hurricane Sarah hit St. Paul on Wednesday night at the Republican convention gathered its strength from a source far deeper than just her sparkling speech. And the media are largely missing that source, in their collective convulsion over John McCain’s selection of the Alaska governor as his running mate. The joy is rooted in the Republican Party platform adopted at this week’s convention. It is the sturdiest pro-life, pro-family document put forth by a major political party in memory...The platform stakes a claim to one-man, one-woman marriage, and to the right to life for all preborn children without exception. It calls for the nomination of federal judges who are pro-life, and it even upholds the suitability of the public display of religious symbols like the Ten Commandments. The platform even stands its ground against an issue McCain has supported — scientific research on human embryos. Surprisingly, the McCain campaign did not object to the prohibition of this research being included in the platform...And neither is the document ashamed of the “G” word. It states that “Our platform is presented with enthusiasm and confidence in a vision for the future, but also with genuine humility — humility before God …” For the last year, when none of the social conservatives running for president could emerge from the pack, reporters began saying — no, they began hoping — that those pesky people in the Religious Right would become a spent force in politics. That was a theme in reporters’ questions to me during the primary election season. The theme only strengthened with the death of two national evangelical leaders, D. James Kennedy and Jerry Falwell. Another thread in that media theme was that in 2008, the Republican Party itself was a spent force, and due for a drubbing on Election Day. But that was before the adoption of this platform, before Sarah Palin’s selection, and before John McCain’s encouraging performance at the Saddleback presidential forum, where he boldly asserted that “life begins at conception.” Not only are religious conservatives back, they are turning out to be the life of the party."

Other Values Voter News

Is being president above Obama's pay grade?-""The Zogby poll shows that 59 percent [of those surveyed] believes human life begins at conception, and only 17 percent erroneously says at birth," O'Steen explains. In addition, O'Steen believes many people will not forget that Obama voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection bill, but he did so three times as an Illinois legislator and offered, in O'Steen's view, a questionable explanation. "I think as his campaign has progressed more and more people have found out how extremely pro-abortion Barack Obama is," he adds. O'Steen was asked if he believes voters will hold Obama's pro-abortion stance against him at the polls in November...According to LifeNews.com, the Zogby survey posted a follow-up question, asking whether voters would oppose or support a presidential candidate who is not sure when life begins. The poll showed that voters, "by a 55.3-to-27.7 margin," would oppose such a candidate."-See McCain, Stanek, Orielly, Hannity and Operation Rescue to report on what the mainstream media continues to cover up: the issue of abortion... and Media's no emphasis of abortion as an issue hurting McCain and helping Obama/Obama on Fatherhood/The Physiology of Motherhood/Bush vs Clinton for why this is important in this election.

Palin

Palin’s Amniocentesis Sparks Debate about Procedure-"Pre-natal testing, Down syndrome and abortion are being debated anew, inspired by GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who gave birth to a son with the genetic disorder in April. When Palin was 13 weeks pregnant, an amniocentesis revealed that her son, Trig Paxton Van Palin, had Down syndrome. “I was grateful to have all those months to prepare. I can't imagine the moms that are surprised at the end. I think they have it a lot harder,” Palin told People Magazine about her amniocentesis on Friday. Palin’s decision to continue her pregnancy has earned praise from conservatives, who say she lives by her pro-life beliefs, and criticism from pro-abortion advocates, who claim her choosing the pre-natal test shows inconsistency in her message....“I do, however, fault Sarah Palin for wanting to deprive American women of a choice that she herself had and that she apparently thought about making.” Barbara and Tripp Curtis and most of their 12 children and 12 grandchildren. The couple have a son with Down syndrome and adopted three more boys with the genetic disorder. But Barbara Curtis, an author and mother of 12, including four sons with Down syndrome, is a Palin supporter."

Foreign Media Cover Alaska’s ‘Sharp-Shooting Mom’-"Dominating themes in the coverage include Palin’s background, family and supposed “scandals” – including the pregnancy of her 17-year-old daughter – along with beauty pageants, fishing, hunting and tattoo rumors thrown in for good measure. In class-conscious Britain, some pundits detected a level of snootiness in the left’s approach to Sen. John McCain’s running mate....Pondering the negative reaction to Palin from some elements in the media, Toby Harnden, the Telegraph’s U.S. editor, identified “a certain cultural elitism,” and warned that snobbery about Palin could backfire in November....In the Daily Mirror, columnist Sue Carroll suggested a novel reason for McCain’s choice of a “deeply conservative, religious, fiercely anti-abortionist, staunch gun rights campaigner, life-long hunter and death penalty advocate” as his running mate. “I’d have thought it was obvious,” she said. “To annoy the BBC.” And, Carroll added, “at least Sarah Palin will be well placed to deal with Russia – she lives next door.”

Economy

Economy Growing Despite ‘Recession’ Claims by Obama, McCain-"Experts from the U.S. government and the non-partisan National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) told CNSNews.com it is unlikely that GDP would have gone up for two consecutive quarters if the economy had actually been in a recession."
