But First the Republican National Convention Highlight of the Night

When Fred Thompson brought up the issue of abortion he also, brought the issue of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act about protection for babies that survive an abortion that Obama opposed in his home state (see Factcheck.org confirms Obama misrepresented his position for 4 years on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in Illinois!, New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection, Jill Stanek vs Obama. Obama a Providential God send? and McCain, Stanek, Orielly, Hannity and Operation Rescue to report on what the mainstream media continues to cover up: the issue of abortion.... the crowd applauded with the biggest applaud of his speech and a standing ovation. Check out the speech below it is toward the end:

Obama ad slams McCain on abortion-Obama's pro abortion ad brings up the discussino of Obama's misleading statements on why he did not support a bill that would protect infants that survive an abortion!!! "We can't let John McCain take away our right to choose. We can't let him take us back," says the ad....Republican Party communications director Danny Diaz responded by attacking Obama's opposition to an IL bill that advocates said would protect babies who survived abortions, and critics said was an attempt to limit all abortions. "Barack Obama voted against a bill that would have protected infants born alive having survived an abortion attempt," said Diaz. "He has offered misleading statements on the issue and is now trying to confuse voters by attacking Senator McCain."-From an article on Politico.com. Jill Stanek comments on this article that is from the Politico.com-"Abortion has been a "major campaign issue" for several weeks now, with revelations Obama is pro-infanticide if he thinks it would otherwise impinge on abortion. But MSM hasn't thought it so until Obama thought it so. Coincidentally, I just heard this ad while on hold for an interview with a CO radio station, and the ad's "nurse practitioner" spokesperson states she is with Planned Parenthood. Of course."

GOP Platform the most pro-family and pro-life in the history of the GOP!!!!

The 2008 Republican Platform is now complete and available here. Thank you for your participation in the most grassroots-driven platform development effort in the history of American politics! Platform Committee Chairman U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy and Co-Chairman U.S. Sen. Richard Burr.

Conservatives Happy with Palin, Platform-"And as a conservative Christian, Hough's thrilled with the choice of pro-life Christian Sarah Palin and the party's conservative platform. Ken Blackwell was vice-chair of the platform committee. "This platform is the most pro-family, most pro-life platform in the history of the GOP," Blackwell said."-Compare 2004 platform with 2008-GOP Platform comparison.

GOP Platform Mentions Abstinence, Unplanned Pregnancies-"Lost amid the news about Bristol Palin’s out-of-wedlock pregnancy, Republicans unanimously passed their 2008 party platform on Monday.....It also specifically mentions “women struggling with the challenges of an unplanned pregnancy.”....In a section called “Preserving Our Values,” the platform reads: We all have a moral obligation to assist, not to penalize, women struggling with the challenges of an unplanned pregnancy. At its core, abortion is a fundamental assault on the sanctity of innocent human life. Women deserve better than abortion. Every effort should be made to work with women considering abortion to enable and empower them to choose life. We salute those who provide them alternatives, including pregnancy care centers, and we take pride in the tremendous increase in adoptions that has followed Republican legislative initiatives....The platform also embraces abstinence education as a replacement for sex-ed programs: We renew our call for replacing “family planning” programs for teens with increased funding for abstinence education, which teaches abstinence until marriage as the responsible and expected standard of behavior. Abstinence from sexual activity is the only protection that is 100 percent effective against out-of-wedlock pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS when transmitted sexually. We oppose school-based clinics that provide referrals, counseling, and related services for abortion and contraception. Schools should not ask children to answer offensive or intrusive personal nonacademic questionnaires without parental consent. It is not the role of the teacher or school administration to recommend or require the use of psychotropic medications that must be prescribed by a physician...."

2008 GOP Platform Eliminates ‘Commitment’ to U.N.-"Both critics and supporters of the United Nations have found applause-worthy features in the Republican Party platform adopted at this week’s convention. But while those on both sides of the issue see the document as heralding a shift in direction, its treatment of the U.N. in fact differs little from the GOP’s 2004 platform. The new document says the U.S. “will pay a fair, but not disproportionate, share of dues” to the U.N., and “will never support a U.N.-imposed tax.”...“While tough, [it] is far from an anti-U.N. screed,” U.N. Dispatch poster Mark Goldberg wrote Tuesday. “In fact, parts of it are an outright rejection of far right’s preferred approach to the United Nations.”...The Democratic document also pledges to reinstate federal funding to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The Republican administration has defunded the agency since 2002, citing alleged links to China’s coercive population control policies."

Update on Pro-Family Issues: 2008-"Dr. James Dobson and several guests discuss the Republican platform as the Republican National Convention kicks off in Minneapolis this week."-Radio program that again confirms again that this years GOP Platform is indeed the most pro-family and pro-life in the history of the Republican Party as the one who McCain appointed to oversee the platform discusses this issue with Dobson. This platform could not have happened if it weren't for cooperation with McCain campaign says Tony Perkins of Family Research Council and more...very interesting radio program...and did Bob Dole loose his election over not supporting the strong pro-life GOP platform in years past?

New Pro-Life Movie Could Impact Presidential Elections-""This movie tells how Roe v. Wade can be reversed by the U.S. Supreme Court. Moviegoers were excited or agitated on both sides because the movie shows in dramatic fashion just how flimsy the legal footing stands for Roe. New Justice appointees who believe in Constitutional original intent will likely overturn Roe." Polls show a very tight presidential race. A handful of voters from each precinct will make the difference. "If this new movie gets widely known, and it could breakout because it's very controversial, then watch out," Welty predicts."What's remarkable is that COME WHAT MAY, a micro-budget feature, was largely produced by over 40 students mentored by only a handful of professionals," according to Mac Nichols, a local tax attorney who played one of the movie's U.S. Supreme Court Justices. Advent Film Group (AFG) produced the movie in association with Patrick Henry College, a true-to-life powerhouse in collegiate debate and moot court competition. PHC, founded eight years ago, enrolling only 300 students, has won the Moot Court National Championship twice and has beaten Oxford in England and again in Richmond, VA. The movie's legal argument is solid, claims George Escobar, founder of AFG. The film's legal framework for overturning Roe was written by Michael Farris, founder and chancellor of PHC and is a constitutional attorney who has successfully argued before the U.S. Supreme Court."
