But First an Update from yesterday's blog (see GOP Platform the most pro-family and pro-life in the history of the GOP!!!!) concerning the unborn and those born alive

Olbermann misrepresents Obama's opposition to Born Alive; MSNBC slants GOP abortion coverage-"Last night during his Republican National Convention speech, Fred Thompson skewered Barack Obama for his opposition to IL's Born Alive Infants Protection Act: We don't need a president who thinks protecting the unborn or the newborn baby is above his pay grade. Afterward, MSNBC's Chris Matthews engaged in a lengthy discussion on that point with Republican NM Congresswoman Heather Wilson. Keith Olbermann couldn't help but jump in to carry water for Obama by misstating that Obama opposed Born Alive because there was already a law in place, which was false. Here's the video:

....In fact, MSNBC reporters slanted their GOP abortion coverage last night, obsessing about the pro-life platform and politicians when last week at the Democrat Convention they totally ignored the radical abortion positions of the party and politicians, most notably Obama....Obama Assertion: IL's Born Alive was unnecessary, because "IL law already stated that in the unlikely case that an abortion would cause a live birth, a doctor should 'provide immediate medical care for any child born alive as a result of the abortion" (August 19, 2008, Obama campaign document). Refutations...."-For the refutations click on the link above!!! Very, very, very good points indeed that are not brought up when the Big Media covers this issue if they cover it at all!!! This is from the blog of the very nurse that brought this atrocity to the attention of the legislators and testified as a witness. Not to mention also, that Obama misrepresented his position already once on this issue and now the Big Media seem to be digging themselves in further with Obama into this messy, messy misrepresentation and hush hush of a matter. See Update: Factcheck.org confirms Obama's misrepresentation, Providence/Colorado and the DNC? (possibly the largest protest sign ever this week in CO.) and New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection.

Does the Big Media really want to go down in the annals of history when abortion is finally abolished as the medium that covered up one of the most radically pro-abortion presidential candidates ever or is somebody in that medium going to step up and take a fair look at this issue and maybe even be persuaded to be part of the cause of the abolitionists movement of our time and come to the aide of the lives of the unborn, those partially being born and those surviving this bloody mess???!!! The unborn are calling and awaiting. Where are you???!!! We have had the Testimony of Roe of Roe vs Wade and the Testimony of co-founder of NARAL and Dr. of the largest abortion clinic in the world has a pro-life change of heart we now need the testimony of Big Media!!! So where are you???!!!

Liberal "SuperStar" Obama vs Social Conservative/Evangelical "Superstar" Palin in Big Media coverage and RNC has made Big Media an issue!!!

Just a note: You might not even know if you are not connected to a social conservative news source but Palin is indeed a Social Conservative/Evangelical Superstar of a sorts. McCain has done the job in uniting back to his party the Social Conservative/Evangelical base like never before and there is as much hope and enthusiasm amongst Social Conservative/Evangelicals about this election as there was during the Reagan Administration says many Social Conservatives/Evangelicals like Dobson. But you would never know it listening to most of the main stream media (MSM). Now on to recent coverage on Palin who is uniting the Republican Party like never before....and maybe this is the cause for the Double Standard in the news coverage lately in the MSM...

Does anyone else but social conservatives/evangelicals see the double standard in the media over Palin? What about Obama and the Born Alive Infant Protection Act to protect babies who survive an abortion (see Factcheck.org confirms Obama misrepresented his position for 4 years on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in Illinois!, New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection, and McCain, Stanek, Orielly, Hannity and Operation Rescue to report on what the mainstream media continues to cover up: the issue of abortion... and not to mention this issue was brought up at the RNC and yet very little response!!!! See GOP Platform the most pro-family and pro-life in the history of the GOP!!!!)? Should that not get as much if not more media attention then Palin's pregnant daughter or "trooper-gate"? I don't mind the media outlets scrutinizing who they want, this is America and you can do that, but I sure do mind it when they claim to be objective and neutral at the same time while not equally scrutinizing the other party!!! Actually I don't even care if they are going to misrepresent themselves that way to the general public, it only gives us social conservatives more evidence that the MSM is nothing to pay attention to or at the least if one does pay attention they do so not ignorantly/blindly. For the democrat party to remain silent about all this bias is questionable. Even Hilary and Bill Clinton complained about this in the primaries. To think that democrats may reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine on talk radio shows and religious broadcasting and ignore the Big 4 Networks is such a political double standard!!!

Also, after you view some of the media bias evidence then do scroll down for reports from conservative news sites on Palin. You will be surprised at what the media is not informing you about as they continue to criticize Palin!!!

But First the Highlight of the Second Night at the Republican National Convention

Romney, Huckabee, Giuliani and Palin all got applauded for taking on the issue of Big Media in their speeches. Here are their speeches in their entirety and I also, thought that Giuliani made a great point. I wish he kept it more serious and not so mockingly but put that aside and focus on what he said for a moment cause he made a serious point. I do wish there was more talk about moral issues but it's the voting record that matters and McCain made it clear where he will stand on those issues from Saddleback and Palin

In case you are wondering why Mitt Romney took on the NEA see: NEA invests big bucks in Obama's campaign-"The National Education Association (NEA) has endorsed Senator Barack Obama's presidential bid and plans to spend $50 million to target swing states. The NEA also says they will micro-manage members and send sophisticated electronic individualized messaging to members..."I think most parents would think if the NEA has $50 million to throw around, why don't they invest it in the classrooms where our children are being taught?" Fischer contends. That $50 million will come from membership dues, but Fischer says if members do not support this effort, they can look for alternative teacher associations. "I know here in Idaho, teachers have access to the Northwest Professional Educators Association, which is devoted to liability protection for teachers [and] academic improvement, and has made a deliberate decision that none of the association's fees or dues will be used for political causes or agendas," Fischer adds."

Media Uses Palin Pregnancy to Dismiss Abstinence Education-""The media are already trying to spin this as evidence Gov. Palin is a 'hypocrite,' but all it really means is that she and her family are human. They are in my prayers and those of millions of Americans."-James Dobson

Media on Palin - a sudden case of 'family values'?-"Female news anchors and reporters from various media outlets, including CBS, NBC, and CNN, have suggested 17-year-old Bristol Palin's pregnancy should have disqualified her mother from becoming John McCain's running mate and raises questions about McCain's judgment. Katie Couric of CBS News even chided the McCain campaign for not notifying the press about the pregnancy sooner....Bob Knight, director of the Culture and Media Institute, says it is quite humorous to watch the media "finally discover family values." Knight predicts that in light of the Alaska governor "saying that she's pro-life and her daughter's pro-life, and she decided to keep her Down syndrome baby herself and her daughter is keeping her baby and plans to get married...I think the attempts by the media to paint this as a moral crisis will fail." Knight says in the end, the media "will have egg on its face" because Palin's family has rallied around her daughter and reaffirmed its belief that life is precious....She says the Palins are dealing with their predicament in a responsible manner -- but that the media's coverage of Palin brings to light a clear double standard. (Listen to audio report) "The media that claims to be in favor of women pursuing all their choices seems to have a problem when it's a conservative woman who is doing it," observes the pro-family leader. "Sarah Palin has provided a beautiful example -- the family that's rallying around a member in that family who's made a mistake, who's made a bad choice, but is now making a good choice."-Vote in our poll What is the motive behind media attacks on Palin?.

Thompson Praises McCain, Palin at RNC-"We need a president who doesn't think that the protection of the unborn or a newly born baby is above his pay grade," Thompson said, referring to a comment Obama made at last month's Saddleback Church forum. "The man who will be that president is John McCain....He spoke just before Sen. Joe Lieberman, who took the prime time spot to endorse McCain."...."Within some 3 days 10 million additional dollars came into the McCain coffers that's unheard!!!!"-3 days since Palin selected as VP. Must view video report and commentary on CBNnews.com. Also, see GOP Platform the most pro-family and pro-life in the history of the GOP!!!!

Palin to Take Center Stage-"Palin's nomination has excited Republicans across the country, with her reputation for taking on entrenched interests in Alaska and her pro-life stance...."Washington pundits and media big shots are in a frenzy over the selection of a woman who has actually governed rather than just talked a good game on the Sunday talk shows and hit the Washington cocktail circuit," Thompson said. But the media focus on Palin's family is expected to continue, with Bristol Palin and the unborn child's father, Levi Johnston, planning to attend Wednesday's session. Since the public disclosure of Bristol's out-of-wedlock pregnancy, Palin has been at the center of a media storm. "I haven't seen anything that comes out about her that in any way troubles me or shakes my confidence in her," said former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who ran unsuccessfully for the party's presidential nomination this year. The prime spot in Tuesday evening's lineup went to Connecticut independent Sen. Joe Lieberman, who enthusiastically endorsed McCain and Palin..."Governor Palin, like [presidential candidate] John McCain, is a reformer. That's why I sincerely believe the real ticket for change is the McCain-Palin ticket," Lieberman said. "I'm here to support John McCain because country matters more than party. John McCain's whole life testifies to a great truth: being a Democrat or a Republican is important. But it is not more important than being an American," he said. "When others wanted to retreat in defeat from the field of battle, when Barack Obama was voting to cut off funding for our troops on the ground," Lieberman said, "John McCain had the courage to stand against the tide of public opinion."

McCain's VP Pick Reassures Delegates-"The Republican National Convention is overflowing with social conservatives who care deeply about the pro-life cause. And - for awhile at least - some doubted John McCain's fervency for that cause. "We had this situation where people were not sure, and then we had Saddleback, and then we had the platform, and then we had Palin, and it was just an explosion of excitement," said Kelly Shackleford of the Free Market Foundation...Shackleford helped shape the prolife platform. "Every prolife leader in the country, all the national groups, has now said this platform is the strongest prolife platform in the history of the Republican Party," he said."...Prolife leader Marjorie Dannenfelser says there's no reason to work with politicians she believes don't really want to slash the abortion rate. She said, "They want to talk, talk, talk, talk, talk about helping reduce abortions, but there is absolutely no real effort to reduce them." She says Sarah Palin is her kind of politician - one who never calls for abortion, even when it might mean hardship for her or her own family....She's enthusiastic about McCain and Palin both being so openly prolife. But in the end, does that matter? Voters know presidents can't really do that much about abortion, except for in one key area - the judges and the Supreme Court justices they pick. That's because they can hugely affect every American for decades. For instance, look at how unelected judges legalized abortion via Roe vs. Wade...Gary Marx of the Judicial Confirmation Network says prolife voters know the next President could well pick one, two even three new Justices. "They want to see that decision about abortion sent back to the states and they think that we are on the precipice of the Supreme Court doing that with one more vote," Marx said. Delegates here seem assured by past comments McCain has made about what kind of judges he would pick. Now any doubts they had about him on the prolife issue have seem washed away by his pick of Palin."-See also, video report with comments by Pat Robertson.

Palin cements emergence of abortion in presidential campaign-""I am absolutely convinced that culture wars are so '90s," said Barack Obama during his July 2007 speech at a Planned Parenthood Action Fund event. ""Their days are growing dark.... We're tired of arguing about the same old stuff." Of course Obama wanted abortion to be yesterday's news. He only looks like a monster when he argues for partial birth abortion and against protecting abortion survivors. MSM, also pro-abortion, wanted the topic of abortion to go away, too, for the same reason (plus squashing us ensured an Obama win). If you support abortion, you must support all of it or your arguments fall apart, and MSM didn't like being forced to discuss its far reaches. MSM did a fair job looking the other way the past few weeks despite the revelation that Obama misrepresented his vote against against identical legislation in IL to declare even abortion survivors as persons that passed overwhelmingly on the national level. But John McCain's surprising nomination of Sarah Palin as his running has done a couple things. It has cemented discussion of abortion as a top story, and it has shown everyone the value of social conservatives and perhaps even reminded we kicked dogs of same....When we were disengaged by a guy we weren't sold on, the presidential campaign ran flat. But when social conservatives became engaged, the campaign was energized, the room lit up, and McCain/Palin may now just win. I reiterate, it is only when social conservatives are energized that a Republican campaign is energized. Wrote Pat Buchanan on September 3: McCain's choice of... Palin to be his co-pilot was the biggest gamble in presidential history. As of now, it is paying off, big-time....And wrote the Politico on September 2: The culture wars are making a sudden and unexpected encore in American politics, turning more ferocious virtually by the hour as activists on both sides of the ideological divide react to the addition of... Palin to the Republican ticket."
