But first, McCain and Palin take the biggest lead since January in the USA Today/Gallup poll

Poll: Convention lifts McCain over Obama-"The Republican National Convention has given John McCain and his party a significant boost, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken over the weekend shows, as running mate Sarah Palin helps close an "enthusiasm gap" that has dogged the GOP all year. McCain leads Democrat Barack Obama by 50%-46% among registered voters, the Republican's biggest advantage since January and a turnaround from the USA TODAY poll taken just before the convention opened in St. Paul. Then, he lagged by 7 percentage points....The convention bounce has helped not only McCain but also attitudes toward Republican congressional candidates and the GOP in general. "The Republicans had a very successful convention and, at least initially, the selection of Sarah Palin has made a big difference," says political scientist Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia. "He's in a far better position than his people imagined he would be in at this point."-See A Challenge to Big Media and New Mexico's own Heather Wilson draws attention to Obama and his voting record on the Born Alive Infant Protection, check out video interview on MSNBC.

Polls jump in McCain/Palin's favor-"Zogby...Rasmussen...CBS News" and "Nielsen: "[T]he Republican convention earned more television viewers than the Democratic convention. Republicans earned an average audience of 34.5 million, while Democrats earned an average viewership of 30.2 million."

Now on to Palin and Polls concerning Big Media bias

Should Palin grant interviews to news channels that are going to ask hard questions of her positions when Big Media has yet to ask Obama on recent misrepresentations of his position on babies that have survived an abortion and accusing the pro-life community of lying??? (See New Documents Revealing Obama's cover up on Born Alive Infant Protection) Also, what about Obama's church and pastor's connection to this issue (See Jill Stanek vs Obama. Obama caught on tape arguing against giving medical attention to aborted babies...) not to mention this tape and so much more unanswered questions because Big Media isn't asking them? I was listening to ABCNews the other night and they reported that Palin has yet to do an interview with Big Media. Implying some incompetency in Palin. I found this to be a great opportunity to expose Big Media on this issue. I am pretty sure Palin will grant interviews and not make this a requirment but I just wanted to pose the question for argument and point sake....(See Palin offers first TV interview to ABC News)

CNN's American Morning Fact Checks Palin But Not Obama or Biden-"Friday's American Morning on CNN featured a segment dedicated to fact-checking Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's speech to the Republican National Convention. In introducing the reporter who did the fact-checking, co-host Kiran Chetry explained: "CNN's Deborah Feyerick is here to fact check Palin's speech and I'm sure whenever politics is involved we have to fact check these." Apparently, though, American Morning only feels the need to fact check speeches given by Republican candidates because the morning show did not provide the same fact checking analysis of Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden or Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama."

McCain Aide Hits Vieira Over Biased Attacks Against Palin-"John McCain campaign manager Steve Schmidt appeared on Friday's Today show and quarreled with an annoyed Meredith Vieira over the media's coverage of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Vieira lashed out, accusing the McCain camp of "trying to shut us up" by attacking the press during the Republican National Convention. Schmidt also slammed journalists for making an issue of whether Palin could balance both family and being Vice President, a tactic Vieira incorrectly asserted only blogs were doing. Early in the exchange, Vieira challenged Schmidt: "A lot of press bashing at the convention. We are suddenly the enemy. Why is that?" After the NBC host asserted that it was the job of the press to "ask questions," Schmidt shot back: "And it's their job to ask questions of Senator Obama, too. And we hope we'll have some questions asked of Senator Obama as we move forward during the remainder of this race." He added that the McCain team welcomed honest scrutiny. It was at that point that Vieira hyperbolically suggested the Republican candidate was somehow trying to censor the media: "But, Steve you go on the attack. I don't know that you look forward to the scrutiny, because you go immediately on the attack. It sounds like you're trying to, sort of, organize your base by going after the media, trying to shut us up."

Network News Anchors Shocked at Bias Charge: We're Professionals!-All three broadcast network evening newscast anchors appeared together on each of the morning shows on Thursday and blithely dismissed the notion that members of the media have shown bias and sexist attitudes in response to Sarah Palin's nomination for Vice President. World News host Charles Gibson, who visited along with NBC's Brian Williams and CBS's Katie Couric, told Today host Meredith Vieira that the role of a journalist is "to raise these questions." "It's not based on politics. It is simply- those are the questions you ask," he touted."

CNN's Toobin & Bernstein Criticize Republican Attacks on Media-"I think the news media is doing its job."

Then why is not Big Media covering Dr Alveda King's (Martin Luther King Jr's brothers daughter) comments on Obama and those of the African American community that do not support Obama largely due to his abortion record? Why no raising of questions about Obama's recent misrepresentation of the pro-life community and voting history on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act or how his pastor Jeremiah Wright and church are connected to the very hospital that the nurse worked at that brought this issue to the attention of legislators? See Dr Alveda King's comments during the DNC in protest at Anti-War vs Anti-Abortion protesters at conventions and liberal media continues to cover up the issue of abortion at conventions... and more on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act at McCain, Stanek, Orielly, Hannity and Operation Rescue to report on what the mainstream media continues to cover up: the issue of abortion... and concerning Obama's pastor and church see: Jill Stanek vs Obama. Obama caught on tape arguing against giving medical attention to aborted babies....

Guess what journalist did raise the question? See Jill Stanek vs Obama. Obama a Providential God send?. Definitely not a Big Media journalist!!!

Now that this issue has been brought to the attention of many more then before and how this issue effects the candidacy of Obama we know why Big Media doesn't really do as they say that being to "raise these questions". Sure they may raise silly questions concerning Palin but they have missed a much more important issue with Obama as trust in Big Media justly plummets (see Poll: By 10-to-1 Public Says Reporters 'Trying to Hurt Palin' -according to Rasmussen and see Media Credibility Plummets, Just 30% Believe 'Most Trusted' CNN according to Pew and John Harwood of NY Times and CNBC: 'Left of Center Bias' Real and
So far, has there been too much? Too little? Or just the right amount of media scrutiny of Sarah Palin? and
Is the media rooting for Barack Obama? Rooting for John McCain? Or trying its best to be fair to both? from SurveyUsa and I am tired of looking for more....).

And now since the RNC, Huckabee, Romney, Giuliani and Palin Big Media is a Big Issue!!!

"Here's a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion. I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this country..."-Palin

Big Media Republican National Convention coverage at MSNBC has caused a change at MSNBC!!!

Olbermann, Matthews Won't Anchor Political Events-"MSNBC said Sunday it is replacing Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews as co-anchors of political night coverage with David Gregory, and will use the two newsmen as commentators. The change reflects tensions between the freewheeling, opinionated MSNBC and the impartial newsgatherers at NBC News. Throughout the primaries and summer, MSNBC argued that Olbermann and Matthews could serve as dispassionate anchors on political news nights and that viewers would accept them in that role, but things fell apart during the conventions....During her acceptance speech last week, Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin talked about the "Washington elite" not accepting her qualifications for the job. Some delegates on the convention floor began chanting, "N-B-C, N-B-C.""-See Liberal "SuperStar" Obama vs Social Conservative/Evangelical "Superstar" Palin in Big Media coverage and RNC has made Big Media an issue!!! for video interview of Olbermann "correcting" Republican Heather Wilson on Obama's voting record on babies who survive an abortion and then click on links for further investigation as proof that Olbermann's correction is itself over simplified for obvious reasons of pro-Obama bias!!!

Palin Finalized 20-Year Quest for Pipeline Deal in First 20 Months-"In her first 20 months as governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin completed a deal for a natural gas pipeline that had been a top economic goal for the state for nearly two decades. After battling oil companies and leading lawmakers over the project, Palin signed the bill on Aug. 27, 2008. The deal grants a Canadian company $500 million in state funds and permission to build a $36 billion pipeline to transport natural gas from Alaska's North Slope to the continental United States."

Palin desires spiritual revival in Alaska-"Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin this summer told her former church in Alaska that she's praying for a spiritual revival in the state. Some secular news reporters have been suggesting Governor Palin has been trying to hide her “deep roots in Pentecostalism.” (See related commentary) However, in June she returned to her longtime church, Wasilla Assembly of God, where she attended up until 2002. She spoke at the graduation service of the church’s School of Ministry, and shared Ephesians 1:17 with the audience. (See video of her speech)...Palin, who now attends an independent evangelical church, told her former congregation that she was “praying for an outpouring of God’s Spirit, that revival” in Alaska."

Sarah Palin's Amazing Grace-"But while having sex outside of marriage is bad, deliberately destroying an innocent human life through abortion (no matter how that child was conceived) is far, far worse. That is why conservative celebration of Bristol's decision to carry her child to term -- under circumstances where many would choose abortion -- outweighed disappointment over her sexual behavior. (Her announced intention to marry the father is also a plus, despite the unfortunate circumstances.)"...The final misunderstanding is theological. Contrary to stereotype, Christianity is not a religion of condemnation, but of grace. The good news, the gospel, the "evangel" (from which the word "evangelical" comes) is that even though every one of us is a sinner, every one of us can also be forgiven our sins, because Christ took the punishment for them on the cross. "Grace" is God's unmerited favor -- the love he pours out on his children, not because we deserve it, but despite the fact that we don't. So is Bristol Palin a sinner? Yes -- as are we all. And Christians are embracing her with God's grace and love. Each year they do the same for thousands of other young women -- who are unknown but in similar circumstances -- through pregnancy resource centers. Has Sarah Palin made mistakes as a parent, and suffered heartache because of her children? Undoubtedly she has -- which only makes it easier for every parent in the country to identify with her. It's clear that the Palins understand grace. They are displaying one kind -- and receiving another. Such grace is amazing -- but not surprising."

Informative posts at Jill Stanek's blog

Stanek blog profiled in Washington Post today-"The Washington Post is profiling bloggers who attended the Democrat and Republican National Conventions. Am pleased today it chose this blog (click to enlarge)..."-More media attention to Stanek!!! And must add for pro-life blogs. From her bio: "I was a registered nurse in the Labor & Delivery Department at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois, in 1999 when discovering babies were being aborted alive and shelved to die in the soiled utility room.Went public when hospital leaders said that they would not stop. The disclosure immediately grabbed the attention of legislators and media. Was asked to testify before a U.S. House committee in 2000 and 2001 for the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Was fired in August 2001 by Christ Hospital for reasons related to my public outspokenness to its abortion practices." See Obama caught smearing the pro-life community on video and yet claims to understand and respect our views!!! Reenter Jeremiah Wright and Obama's Church concerning very interesting connection between Obama's church and pastor Jeremiah Wright to Christ Hospital!!!

Obama losing moderate evangelicals-"And now a story in today's Wall Street Journal:

The moderate evangelical vote is slipping away from Barack Obama.

All year, Sen. Obama has worked hard to win evangelical voters.... At stake are about six million voters - moderate evangelicals who voted for George Bush last time but were intrigued by Sen. Obama....
Several things have battered Sen. Obama's standing with moderate evangelicals:
1) His poor performance at the Saddleback candidates forum, especially (or perhaps entirely) his comment about it being "above my pay grade" to know when life begins....
2) The selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, an appealing antiabortion figure and the perceived attacks on her by the media, which led evangelicals to think the "elites" were against them. This sentiment has been skillfully stoked by the Republicans.
3) The Democrats' decision to run radio ads championing Sen. Obama's abortion-rights position without discussing his abortion-reduction agenda....
4) The Obama campaign's failure to combat effectively the charge that he opposed giving protection to infants who survive abortions. It's now become a standard part of the Republican litany that Sen. Obama supports not only abortion but also infanticide.
5) Quiet concern among evangelical leaders of faith-based groups that Sen. Obama's faith-based initiative would leave most faith-based groups in the cold because he wouldn't allow them to hire only from their particular faith."-See also, Obama's Divisive Faith Based Initiative/Update on NM Photography case/www.BoycottMcDonalds.com/Arizona Marriage Amendment and McCain
Pro-aborts go for world record recycling same threatening press release -"How many times will Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and EMILY's List get MSM to fall for the same repackaged and recycled press release? Silly me, I forgot MSM and the 3 hags are in cahoots. The Hill breathlessly reported today: "Three major advocates of abortion rights are planning to spend nearly $30 million to defeat John McCain's run for president, citing his new running mate as the core reason."

Cindy McCain is pro-abortion?-"Also of note was Couric's anti-life bias. She started out by saying, "Even Republicans seem surprised that Senator McCain picked a running mate who opposes abortion even in the cases of rape and incest...." When will Couric ask Michelle Obama, "Even Democrats seem surprised that the party picked Senator Obama for president, who supports partial birth abortion, opposes parental notification of minors before they abort, and who supports allowing little abortion survivors to die."

Election Update Video Report on Palin, McCain and RNC from Social Conservative perspective...

Palin the real deal, says Alaska attorney-"Fairbanks attorney Joe Miller says when Sarah Palin entered the political scene in Alaska, she was an out-of-the-box candidate who challenged the powers that be. "Business as usual in this state meant you were very responsive to the folk who had power in the form of resource money," Miller explains. "And she, although...willing to listen to those who had any concern that they wanted considered, did not treat them with the deferential-type approach that others in the political system had historically approached them with." According to Miller, Palin's "outsider approach" to politics resonated well with most Alaskans, but not the "politics as usual" crowd. "I remember walking into the party convention in the state in 2006 during her primary. Each of the gubernatorial candidates had their own room. Delegates to the state convention – it was actually held here in Fairbanks – were invited to interact with the various gubernatorial candidates," Miller adds. "And I walked into her room, and there was no one there. Quite shocking, and this is a convention, of course, of several hundred delegates." Miller says Palin "broke-open" the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System project by inviting a competitive process, not one that was on the oil companies' terms. He notes, more importantly, Palin worked to reform her own political party by holding it accountable for its ties to an oil contracting company that has been connected with the bribery of several Alaskan lawmakers."

Good News: Judge Tells School to Allow Christian Club Meetings-"A federal district judge has issued a preliminary injunction against a Southern California school after it denied equal access to a Bible club. The court found that Esperanza High School allowed students to form and join other clubs and should not have denied the application of the Bible Club.
