But First From JillStanek.com

Jill Stanek's blog has moved up into the top 5500 blogs according technorati and in the top 32000 web sites overall in the US according to alexa.com!!! She has been announced as on of the Life Prizes Announces Winners of $600,000 Pro-Life Award-"Jill Stanek - Nurse who first publicly exposed infanticide of abortion survivors, Born-Alive Infant Protection Act proponent and chief witness, and prolific writer who uses the media and her popular blog to continue revealing the truth about late-term abortion."

Obama: "Change you can conceive in"?-"Newsweek, November 14 (November 24 issue), theorized there will be an Obama baby boom 9 months from now (August 2009) due to celebratory sex in the wake of his victory. That would be great, but I'll hazard a sad guess there'll also be an abortion boom in 2-3 months, given the world view of the majority of his supporters."

Worst headline of the week-"The woman who call partial birth abortion a "legitimate medical procedure" was quoted for this ironic headline on Politico.com. Michelle Obama said on 60 Minutes Sunday she hopes the White House will be "full of life and energy." Quite the contrary..."-Why? see Michelle Obama's partial birth abortion fundraising letter-"In February 2004, Michelle Obama wrote a fundraising letter during her husband's 2004 US Senate campaign claiming the partial birth abortion ban "is clearly unconstitutional" and "a flawed law."-See Michelle's actual letter sent out in '04 campaigning for her husband on the issue of partial birth abortion!!!

Florida

Born alive infant death case revisited-"Florida pro-life organizations continue to press for charges in a born alive infant death case that has been on the books for more than two years.

O'Neal Dozier, pastor of The Worldwide Christian Center in Pompano Beach, conducted the funeral for baby Shanice Denise Osbourne, who was born alive during an abortion, tossed into a medical bag, doused with bleach, and thrown onto the roof of the abortion clinic. He says it is hard to buy the argument from abortionists that unborn babies are just a clump of tissue. "The baby was certainly breathing, and the baby was alive when[she] came out, and the baby looked like a baby, and the baby was breathing, so I think it'll be hard-pressed to argue that the baby was not a baby," he contends....There was no physician on duty at the time of the failed abortion, and the abortion clinic has since been shut down. Even though he renewed his demands to charge Belkis Gonzalez, the unlicensed abortion worker who put Shanice in the bag, Dozier believes there is a simple reason why no one has yet to be prosecuted. "Well, I think because this particular area, the Broward County-Dade County area, is heavily Democratic," he suggest. "It's a very liberal area, and I think that has something to do with it."...Dozier also concludes there should not be anything political about the case, and those responsible for Shanice's death should stand trial."

Georgia

Georgia Planned Parenthood Loses $420,000 Grant Because of Economic Woes-"There is a silver lining in the troubled economic times for pro-life advocates in Georgia as Planned Parenthood of Georgia (PPGA) has lost a massive grant from the state. As the state government cuts spending as a result of the economy, the state abortion business received news a contract was not renewed.
PPGA has contracted with the state for decades to fund the promotion of contraception and birth control through the state's family planning program.
Now, the abortion business will have to make do with less money after officials in Fulton County canceled a $420,000 contract."

Australia

Australian Committee Proposal to Pay Mothers Late Abortion Cost for Disabled Babies Compared to Nazis-"The pro-abortion group had made a submission, signed by 41 Australian MPs, to the parliamentary committee that is examining the issue of abortion in Australia. The group said paying women a Medicare rebate for second-trimester abortions would save the government about $180,000 a year, due to the high costs of caring for handicapped babies who are allowed to be born....According to Christian Today, so far 7 of the MPs whose names were affixed to the submission have disowned its statements about abortion and handicapped children.
Boswell heavily criticised the submission, saying that its “underlying premise” is based on eugenic principles that governments should prefer to kill the disabled rather than support them. He said it holds that “some lives are worth less than others because they will cost too much to support.”
“This is the kind of thinking that was typical of the Hitler regime. They set themselves up as judge of who deserved to live and who deserves to die."

US

HHS Proposal on Religious Objectors Opposed by Some EEOC Members-"Today's New York Times reports on the many comment letters that the Department of Health and Human Services has received on its proposed regulations designed to protect conscience rights of doctors and other health care providers participating in programs receiving HHS funding. The regulations apply to those who have moral or religious objections to providing certain medical procedures, including sterilization and abortion. (See prior posting.) Among the many individuals opposing the rule were three officials of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission: its Republican legal counsel, Reed L. Russell, and two Democratic EEOC members, Stuart J. Ishimaru and Christine M. Griffin. They contend that the new rules are unnecessary in light of existing legal precedent. The Times quotes from the letter submitted by Ishimaru and Griffin which argues that the proposed rules would throw into question from 40 years of court decisions had carefully balanced "employees' rights to religious freedom and employers’ business needs." Here is a link to the public submissions on the rule that have been received by HHS."
