California supporters of same-sex 'marriage' losing money-"Many teachers and utility consumers in California are angry over campaign contributions made by a teachers union and a utility provider in support of homosexual "marriage."..."After Pacific Gas & Electric gave a quarter of a million dollars to oppose Proposition 8, and after the California Teachers Association gave over a million dollars to oppose Proposition 8, they are now financially taking a hit," Dacus explains. According to the attorney, more than 5,000 people -- many of them teachers who are disenchanted with CTA's political donation -- have cancelled service with PG&E and are now obtaining service from companies that generally charge less as well as support family values..."Countless numbers of public school teachers [who are] outraged with their teachers union are contacting the Pacific Justice Institute and downloading information from ChooseCharity.org in order to switch from this union and have all of their union dues given to a charity that's in agreement with their faith instead of the union," Dacus adds. Regardless of the outcome of the election, Dacus hopes the campaign against the two organizations will continue. More information about California utilities that support traditional marriage is available at NOtoPGE.com."

Why?

Here is only but one reason. This goes to prove the concern that the religious will be discriminated against if the homosexual agenda has its way? See Must see video of vandalized homes, signs and cars in California over Prop. 8. and Documented intolerance from the left in California and Florida over same sex marriage amendments!!

ADF strongly condemns religious bigotry of anti-Proposition 8 ad-"A new television ad sponsored by opponents of California’s Proposition 8 undeniably crosses the line of decency in its portrayal of religious supporters of the state’s marriage amendment, according to attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund. The ad portrays two male LDS missionaries forcibly invading the home of two young women.
This ad demonstrates that the organizations opposed to Proposition 8 do not care one bit about tolerance. Instead, they openly engage in the worst forms of religious bigotry and intimidation,” said ADF Senior Counsel Glen Lavy, who argued before the California Supreme Court in defense of California’s Defense of Marriage Act in May.
ADF has received numerous reports of vandalism and intimidation by Proposition 8 opponents in recent weeks. This ad is the most egregious and public example of the threatening approach sanctioned by groups opposed to the marriage amendment. All Californians should condemn and reject this irresponsible ad and the motives of the groups that ran it.”
The ad is sponsored by the Courage Campaign, described on its Web site as “an online organizing network in California” whose “partners include MoveOn.org, CREDO Mobile, Democracy for America, PowerPAC.org, United Healthcare Workers West (SEIU-UHW), CalPIRG, and the California Nurses Association.”
The ad portrays two male LDS missionaries knocking at the door of the home of two young women. Once the women answer, the two men forcibly invade the home, rummage through the women’s belongings–including an underwear drawer–in search of a marriage license. They then tear up the license in front of the women before leaving.
The ad is obviously intended to malign religious supporters of the amendment,” Lavy said. “That is far from tolerance.”
Proposition 8 would amend the California Constitution to legally define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. For more information, visit http://www.protectmarriage.com/."

He expressed dismay that any public media outlet would give it an airing. "The YES on 8 campaign is not about discrimination and intolerance; it is about restoring the traditional definition of marriage for the good of society and children," said Bishop Blaire. "All individuals and groups, whether religious or not, have both a right and a responsibility to participate in a civil debate about this important issue. From the beginning of this campaign the Catholic Conference has stressed the importance of mutual respect and denounces this type of religious bigotry."

Outrageous No on 8 TV Ad is Slammed for Religious Bigotry and Intolerance-"A prominent evangelical pastor today criticized as “blatant discrimination” a new 'No on Proposition 8' television commercial scheduled to run on TV stations today. Rob McCoy, senior pastor of the Calvary Chapel church in Thousand Oaks, today joined with the California Catholic Conference and the Yes on 8 campaign in criticizing the ad.
“This is blatant discrimination against Mormons. As the pastor of Calvary Chapel of Thousand Oaks, I am outraged by this video. This video is filled with hate and intolerance,” said McCoy, whose congregation is several thousand strong. “This video serves no purpose but to divide and destroy our community,” McCoy added.
McCoy’s criticism of the ad quickly follows the comments of Bishop Stephen Blaire, the President of the California Catholic Conference, who decried the ad from opponents of Proposition 8 as "a blatant display of religious bigotry and intolerance." He expressed dismay that any public media outlet would give it an airing. Even though the Yes on 8 campaign called on the No on 8 campaign yesterday to denounce the ad, the No campaign still has not denounced it."

Condemnation Grows for Offensive No on 8 TV Ad-"The president of a Christian school today joined Catholic and Protestant leaders in condemning a new “No on Prop. 8” ad scheduled to run on television stations today.
The ad, produced by a group called 'Courage Campaign Issues Committee’ and viewable at http://www.kutv.com/content/news/topnews/story.aspx?content_id=e1f83189-843f-41d7-84c4-2029fbd9a2ce depicts supposed missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints committing a home invasion robbery of a lesbian couple's home to steal their wedding rings and rip up their marriage license.
Craig Garbe, president of Cornerstone Christian School in Roseville, today joined the California Catholic Conference, the pastor of Calvary Chapel Church of Thousand Oaks, and the Yes on 8 campaign in criticizing the ad.
This bigoted and intolerant ad is an egregious breach of all political and broadcast decorum and in my opinion is a violation of regulations regarding hate speech, libel, and slander,” said Garbe. “I see the caricature of Mormon missionaries as not just an attack on the LDS but on all people who claim to be Christian. The church is not seeking to usurp civil government, and the church is not endorsing illegal search and seizure. The depictions of these things in the ad are blatant lies.” Garbe added that the ad attempts “to demonize the LDS church and, by implication, all people of faith, and particularly those who support Proposition 8.”
Garbe’s critical comments come quick on the heels of other critical comments by Rob McCoy, senior pastor of the Calvary Chapel church in Thousand Oaks and Bishop Stephen Blaire, president of the California Catholic Conference.
Although the Yes on 8 campaign called on the No on 8 campaign to denounce the ad yesterday, the No campaign still has not denounced it."

“Obama avoids same-sex marriage fight”-"The Politico reports:
And with the voting only two days away, some gay and lesbian activists wish Obama would do more to urge voters to kill the initiative. While Obama does not support gay marriage, he opposes both proposition 8 and any constitutional ban . . . TV host Ellen DeGeneres, did not ask the Democratic candidate about the measure when she interviewed him on her talk show last month . . .
n August, the DNC donated $25,000 — one-quarter of what Spielberg and Pitt each forked over. Officials with “No on 8″ — an anti-Proposition 8 group — reportedly asked the DNC for a half-million more but were told that all funds, including a fresh $10 million line of credit, were being earmarked for close House and Senate races . . ."

Are these concerns ligitimate internationally??!!!

Alberta

Human Rights Commission: "Kill the Christian" Lyrics OK, but Criticize Homosexuality? No Way-"The Alberta Human Rights Commission (HRC) has come under scrutiny again for what critics are calling a brazen double standard in its treatment of "hate" and discrimination.
Blogger, lawyer and democratic activist Ezra Levant has revealed that Alberta Human Rights Commissioner Lori Andreachuk, who in a ruling earlier this year ordered a Christian pastor to publish a renunciation of his Christian views in the local newspaper, in 2003 dismissed a complaint against a rock music group who used lyrics in one of their recordings that urged listeners to "kill the Christian."
Andreachuk dismissed the case saying that Christians are not "vulnerable" enough and the group in question not a "credible" threat."...Rev. Stephen Boissoin, wrote in an email he forwarded to LifeSiteNews.com, "I guess a music store that sells music which shouts out 'Kill the Christian, Kill the Christian' is totally acceptable in Canada."
"I am certainly not one to suppress freedom of speech but it would appear that Christians are not assured the same standard of protection via these Human Rights Commissions as the rest of Canadians. After all, where did I ever say 'Kill the Homosexual, Kill the Homosexual?'" Rev. Boissoin said....Two Years and $100,000 Later: Ezra Levant Complaint Dismissed by Human Rights Commissionhttp://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/aug/08080701.html
