If you do a search for Napoleon at Values Voter News you will find prior to this post only two times Napoleon is mentioned. The first time Napoleon is mentioned at Values Voter News is in the context of a pleading for the salvation of Mr Tiller with a quote from Napoleon concerning Christ. The second and only other time Napoleon is mentioned on Values Voter News till today was on the very day Tiller died with the very same quote from Napoleon and also, a pleading of salvation for those who had been involved in abortion.
Providence or Coincidence?
The first time is here at Petition your Senator concerning Obama's lead candidate for HHS. Warning graphic discussion in first video interview. which was originally posted on 02/27/2009 but was bumped up to 04/23/2009 as the vote neared on the confirmation of Sebelius.
Now in that post were some comments made which included a quote from Napoleon concerning Christ and the salvation of Mr. Tiller. Below are just some of the original comments from that post:
"Please do watch these video interviews concerning this issue. It put me in tears for both the baby and woman. To think that Obama's leading candidate for the HHS comes out of this context is horrifying. I didn't realize how awful the context was until the interview below and then the obvious connection between this abortionist and the Governor of Kansas who may be the next head of our Health and Human Services. God save us including Obama, Sebelius, Tiller and those in the media ignoring this issue. I mean it. They need salvation as much as anybody else. May the Holy Spirit convict them of this sin and may they repent and trust in Christ. What a glorious day that will be when one does repent. The Bible says that there is rejoicing in heaven over one sinner's tears of repentance and there is much needed forgiveness available for anyone who will trust in God's perfect Son and sacrifice on the cross for them. There is no other god that has gone to such lengths to grab the hearts of men then God has in Christ at the cross. Now what is interesting is that not realizing till after Mr Tiller was murdered that on the very same day he was killed Values Voter News posted this post with same argument for the salvation of those who have been involved in the sin of abortion to go to Christ for forgiveness and also, just so happened to use the Napoleon quote once again at If you are a convert to the pro-life position, what prompted your change of heart? on 05/31/2009. Below is recopy of those comments:
To Quote Napoleon whether you believe he said these words or not is quite an insightful quote none the less, "I will tell you. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne and I myself have founded great empires; but upon what did these creations of our genius depend? Upon force. Jesus alone founded His empire upon love, and to this very day millions will die for Him.... I think I understand something of human nature; and I tell you, all these were men, and I am a man: none else is like Him; Jesus Christ was more than man.... I have inspired multitudes with such an enthusiastic devotion that they would have died for me.... but to do this it was necessary that I should be visibly present with the electric influence of my looks, my words, of my voice. When I saw men and spoke to them, I lighted up the flame of self-devotion in their hearts.... Christ alone has succeeded in so raising the mind of man toward the unseen, that it becomes insensible to the barriers of time and space. Across a chasm of eighteen hundred years, Jesus Christ makes a demand which is beyond all others to satisfy; He asks for that which a philosopher may seek in vain at the hands of his friends, or a father of his children, or a bride of her spouse, or a man of his brother. He asks for the human heart; He will have it entirely to Himself. He demands it unconditionally; and forthwith His demand is granted. Wonderful! In defiance of time and space, the soul of man, with all its powers and faculties, becomes an annexation to the empire of Christ. All who sincerely believe in Him, experience that remarkable, supernatural love toward Him. This phenomenon is accountable; it is altogether beyond the scope of man's creative powers. Time, the great destroyer, is powerless to extinguish this sacred flame; time can neither exhaust its strength nor put a limit to its range. This is it, which strikes me most; I have often thought of it. This is which proves to me quite convincingly the Divinity of Jesus Christ"
"Pro-ChoicerThis post was written on Saturday the 30th but wasn't scheduled to post till Sunday the 31st which of course it did and was the very day Tiller was murdered."PLA. Based on several years of reading Harsanyi's column, I think he is sincere in his libertarian beliefs and will not "get over them". He believes in minimal intrusion of government in the lives of its citizens.
You, on the other hand, apparently love to "tell others what to do" and believe the government should force others to conform to your beliefs, because you are right, and better than everyone who does not share those beliefs."
Values Voter News responds to Pro-Choicer bit
The government is right now allowing women to enforce their own beliefs on another innocent unborn child/human being. The problem with this argument is that once you have determined a life to be a life even before it is born then this argument fails miserably and is the very reason why pro-lifers easily reject it. This argument only works if an unborn child is not a human being. If the unborn child is human and we still are going to justify this argument then you might as well do away with any laws on murder whatsoever cause the government has no right to enforce the views of law abiding citizens over those of terrorist. For those who have come to conclude that this is a sin and have committed this sin or been involved in it in anyway there is hope for forgiveness rooted in atonement and justice in the One who has shed His own innocent blood for the sake of those who have shed innocent blood. See Testimony of Roe of Roe vs Wade. No other god came to earth to conquer such guilty consciences like Jesus. Jesus laid down His life for His message in the most providentially memorable act of sacrifice ever by any god at all. Even 2000 years later statements are made of this Jesus like those of Bono of U2 at Bono of U2, "I'm holding out that Jesus took my sins onto the Cross, because I know who I am, and I hope I don't have to depend on my own religiosity" where he said in an interview: "The idea that the entire course of civilization for over half of the globe could have its fate changed and turned upside-down by a nutcase, for me that's farfetched"
Napoleon also said this, "Time, the great destroyer, is powerless to extinguish this sacred flame; time can neither exhaust its strength nor put a limit to its range. This is it, which strikes me most; I have often thought of it. This is which proves to me quite convincingly the Divinity of Jesus Christ" after he said, "In defiance of time and space, the soul of man, with all its powers and faculties, becomes an annexation to the empire of Christ. All who sincerely believe in Him, experience that remarkable, supernatural love toward Him. This phenomenon is accountable; it is altogether beyond the scope of man's creative powers. " and this all after he said, "I will tell you. Wonderful!"
Some may dispute these to be the words of Napoleon but if so whoever did pen them penned some interesting observations. Christ is worthy of our love and faith like no other god is. We may not understand it all like we don't understand it all about most things but like most things it doesn't mean they don't exist and are not worthy of recognition."
Maybe the Lord is speaking to somebody's heart on this issue out there? Maybe there is some connection with the Tiller family and Napoleon and maybe the Lord is working on a family member of the Tiller's? Maybe this is just another opportunity to bring up the issue of abortion? Who really knows but God is always at work somewhere and thought this would make for an interesting post and another opportunity for somebody somewhere to come to their Savior.

Former George Tiller enployee tells her story why she joined the pro-life movement
Abortion business in Philadelphia will terminate unborn children for free for a limited time in honor of George Tiller-"If George Tiller was wrong about abortion and that abortion is murder then I believe what Mr. Tiller's advice today to his family and followers would be the same as the rich man in the parable Jesus spoke of in Luke 16:19-31. The rich man asked Abraham if somebody could go from the dead to warn his five brothers so that they would not have to come to this place of torment that he was in. So Tiller's call from the grave would not be to do more abortions but rather to repent from doing abortions and seek forgiveness in Christ. So then the most honoring and loving thing to do for Mr Tiller is to turn to Christ."
