When unemployment was high and a civil war was about to break what did the President of the US recommend in 1860?

Maybe instead of looking to Government we and our government need to be looking to God. In March of '09 was posted America come back to the Savior of your forefathers.... with similar charts as one's below but for March. Now we are in July and it's only getting worse. As a result in 2007 we got our first democrat lead congress in awhile because of the war and in 2008 we got our first democrat President in awhile because of the economy."

"Notice that most of these individuals were not elected because of their known support for the lives of the unborn or for their support of biblical family values nor their support of the faith of our forefathers except maybe the last one in speech alone. Rather they were elected at the expense of those issues as they made big campaign promises thru our own bad media choices which did not encourage one thought toward Godly wisdom on any of these issues when we should have been seeking His wisdom the most and a majority of us bought it."

"As Thomas Jefferson said, "can the liberties of a nation be thought secured..." and "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just". And Frederick Douglass concurs "I have one great political idea....I feel it my duty to do all in my power to infuse this idea into the public mind....It is in substance, "Righteousness exalteth a nation; sin is a reproach to any people"
