Will this turn out to be another ACORN and Van Jones incident? Values Voter News is keeping an eye out. First let's start with... 'Muslim Mafia' rockets up Amazon where Values Voter News found the above screen shot. "..the hottest book in the nation as it topped Amazon's Movers & Shakers list...."Muslim Mafia" charted at No. 1,073,896 at 10 a.m. Eastern yesterday. But by last night, the book available under a pre-sale procedure had climbed to No. 70 overall, No. 13 in nonfiction, No. 2 under freedom & security, and No. 1 in the categories of current events, Islam and terrorism....The book now is at No. 55 overall."-Update 10/15/2009 10:45 AM-#37 overall and #1 in Freedom & Security, in Terrorism and in Islamic Update 10/15/2009 04:12 PM-#16 overall and #1 in Freedom & Security, in Terrorism and in Islamic So what is the book about? Congress seizes on explosive new book based on daring undercover CAIR probe-"The book begins as a real-life, heart-pounding thriller, with Chris Gaubatz, the son of co-author David Gaubatz, preparing to go underground as an intern for CAIR at its Herndon, Va., office. Astoundingly, the younger Gaubatz, posing as a bearded Muslim convert, ends up with a position at CAIR's national office in Washington, just three blocks from the U.S. Capitol building, working alongside top leaders Ibrahim Hooper, Nihad Awad and Corey Saylor. Along with declassified government documents, the book unveils thousands of e-mails, faxes and internal memos that were never meant for public viewing."What is this book doing outside of sales? U.S. lawmakers called this morning for an investigation into a Muslim non-profit group suspected of infiltrating congressional offices with interns. Stating that "The latest book provides stunning documentation" as responds "CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper calls the book and today's press conference a "campaign to marginalize and disenfranchise American Muslims."...It's an "insult to every American Muslim and the many Muslims who work on the Hill. If it wasn't so ludicrous and insidious, it would be laughable," he added....Hooper says the memo only proves that American Muslims are participating in government and peacefully petitioning their elected officials." Now, before this morning's call for an investigation.... CAIR attempts to torpedo Capitol press conference-This is interesting that CAIR sent a fax to Rep, Sue Myrick R-NC alleging that "the authors of the new book, set for release today, had engaged in "criminal actions" and warning that a report already had been filed with law enforcement authorities." Nothing in my mind proves anything either way without reading the book and reviewing both sides of the issue. Values Voter News would just encourage its readers to assume innocence on both sides and keep an eye out and see what happens.
