First off for those unhappy with AARP's recent endorsement of the House health care bill there is an AARP alternative which is the American Seniors which may be picking up a lot of those who are dropping out of AARP.
Back in August was reported at CBS that some 60,000 members have left AARP even though at that time AARP had yet to endorse ObamaCare but many felt AARP was in support of it. Even Obama came out and mistakenly said AARP endorses this plan (see AARP releases statement that they are not on board with ObamaCare even though Obama says they are). Well it turns out that these town hallers concerns were legitimate. AARP had officially endorsed the bill in the House just days before the House health care bill was going to be voted on and pass.
So then why? One may wonder why AARP who represents seniors would support a bill that seniors poll to be the bill's greatest skeptics.
