Update 11/21/2009: Jill Stanek has this excellent post explaining in further detail about the vote tonight at Bad: Ben Nelson to vote YES on cloture tonight. Apparently, the vote tonight is still a big vote but there may be another 60 vote cloture to hurdle to come which may explain why some Democrats wavering will vote yes on this cloture but still get a second chance to block the bill if they do not like the bill as it is now after amendments and what not. It seems to me if they don't like the bill as it now stands to vote "no" on cloture and have Reid go back to the drawing board until something more broad in acceptance could be brought to the floor. Watch debate and vote on Senate Health Care bill live right now!!

Now back to original post...

See avoidthebias.com for much debate without media bias on the issue of health care and some very recent debates on the Senate floor from yesterday. For more on why Values Voter News opposes this bill see label .

Tomorrow Senators will vote to proceed on the Senate bill which is required to have 60 votes to proceed but if they pass the motion to proceed with the bill then all they need after debate on the bill is 50 votes to pass it. With the Democrats being the majority party it should not be difficult at all to get 50 votes. So in other words a vote to proceed is a vote for passage of this health care bill in the Senate. See above update.

Update: Jim Demint further explains this at about 2 minutes. Concerning the pink slips in the first 2 minutes of discussion see Pink slip campaign against Big Government has hit over 5 million Pink slips sent to Washington. Congressmen hold a news conference watch it here.
