Remember how Big Media finally got around to reporting on the Van Jones (Obama's Green Jobs Czar) resignation and the ACORN scandal. Climate Gate is becoming the next big story being ignored at Big Media.

Lord Monckton's highly recommended 90 minute speech on UN Climate Change Treaty going viral on You Tube

Back in October BBC News had an article titled What happened to global warming? which was the number one news story cited in the blogosphere for 3 days straight. See BBC News: Current climate models fail to forecast that the globe is not warming even though man made carbon dioxide continues to rise for more.

Now more recently a story at the New York Times titled Hacked E-Mail Is New Fodder for Climate Dispute was the number one cited news story for 2 days straight (see: New York Times article on Hacked e-mails of global warming scientists is the most linked to story for two days now.) and now yet another news story from TimesOnline in the UK has been number one for the last two days and may continue titled Climate change data dumped - Times Online according to BlogPulse. NCPA has these interesting comments to make about the Climate change data being dumped: ".....The data were gathered from weather stations around the world and then adjusted to take account of variables in the way they were collected.  The revised figures were kept, but the originals -- stored on paper and magnetic tape -- were dumped to save space when the UEA's Climatic Research Unit (CRU) moved to a new building, say the Times:

  • It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.
  • The CRU was forced to reveal the loss following requests for the data under Freedom of Information legislation.
  • The admission follows the leaking of a thousand private emails sent and received by Professor Phil Jones, the CRU's director; in them he discusses thwarting climate skeptics seeking access to such data.
  • The lost material was used to build the databases that show how the world has warmed by 0.8C over the past 157 years...."

There have been other articles that are in the top 10 like this one titled Climate change: this is the worst scientific scandal of our generation from the Telegraph in the UK which currently is number 3.

This is big news and yet Big Media has yet to pick up on it. Not only did the New York Times report the story but so did BBC News, CNN, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Fox News and probably much more. So why is Big Media lagging behind on this story? For that answer see: Commercialism and Capitalism are not the cause to Big Media bias. Only Big Media would have you conclude that way....Do your own test!!! and for a tri-partisan solution to media bias see AvoidTheBias.com.

Media Research Center reports on the mysterious ignoring of the story at ABC, NBC and CBS even though all three networks reported on President Obama's decision to attend the climate change summit in Copenhagen recently at Nets Ignore Climategate While FNC CNN Report, CNN Dismisses Relevance

Not to fail to mention the popularity of Lord Monckton's recent speech in Minnesota going viral on YouTube. See Lord Monckton's highly recommended 90 minute speech on UN Climate Change Treaty going viral on You Tube which these hacked emails seem to be quite complimentary of Lord Monckton's speech.

This reminds me of the ACORN scandal and Obama's Green Jobs Czar see: ACORN and Obama's green czar taken down by Fox News, blogs and pro-life activist. ACORN looses funding by 83-7 vote in Senate and Green Czar resigns
First the Senate now the House votes to defund ACORN. See list of well outnumbered democrats that voted in favor of ACORN. Not one Republican.

Van Jones resigns as Green Jobs Czar and finally New York Times and Big Media get around to reporting on the controversy after it's over
