They should be voting on the bill in about 2 hours. From reports I heard they do not have the number of votes necessary to pass but the debate is quite informative. Normally this bill would pass with flying colors. If I remember right the last time this bill came to the floor as it does each year to fund our troops it even passed with a non-related controversial hate crimes bill attached. But this year the Democrats are continuing to go to farther left than America is by attaching a repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell and allowing abortions at military hospitals and a Dream Act which has something to do with illegal immigrants that is unpopular. In below video and the live link you will get a pretty good idea of both sides on this issue. You will be better informed on the issues than the media themselves and don't have to rely upon the media to accurately portray both sides without bias for both sides are right here in video below.
