One of the most non offensive preachers in our nation takes a stand on the issue of homosexuality and is called a hate preacher. Unbelievable. If Joel Osteen is a hate preacher according to these homosexual groups than those who believe in the Bible are in much trouble if homosexual lobby groups have their ways with the laws of our land. Don't tell me same sex marriage doesn't effect the religious freedoms of others.

Here is your "hate" preacher on CNN with the interview in its entirety. If you come away thinking this guy hates homosexuals then dude I am sorry we Christians have every reason to believe that this issue of same sex marriage is a threat to the First Amendment rights of those who disagree with homosexuals on this issue.

What about the rights of the homosexual who wishes to change his/her sexual orientation because of his/her religious beliefs or new found faith? If what they believe about God is more important than their sexuality than why not let their be a voice for those homosexuals who wish to follow their beliefs about Christ. Their are many who have done just that and they didn't hate anyone nor encourage others to hate anyone nor were hated into the change. See or start with Video: Janet Boynes leaves homosexuality behind via Christ through loving Christian friends. and Testimony of Ex-Gay Alan Chambers says Leaving Homosexuality is not about heterosexuality but rather holiness and What can possibly be more important then sexual orientation?

To take away options and choices for homosexuals who wish to change and call them hateful for wishing to walk according to their beliefs is itself not very loving. I will not go so far as calling it hate cause those who are calling people hateful for their beliefs may not realize how it looks from a point of view other than their own and may just be ignorant rather than hateful. Ex-gays and those who are in the process of change have as much right as those who wish not to to believe as they wish and change.

Just because Christianity teaches that sex outside of marriage is a sin doesn't mean that Christianity teaches to hate prostitutes. Some may believe prostitution is perfectly ok but clearly they are irrational to call those who believe it not to be ok as hateful. I believe people can agree to disagree in love and do not have to resort to slanderous accusations of hate toward one another nor demand apologies from one another for their differing view points.
