Here is a portion of Paul Ryan's op-ed as he released more detailed information about the GOP budget proposal which will be called "The Path to Prosperity". The graph to the left is from that op-ed presenting two choices for the future.

"....For starters, it cuts $6.2 trillion in spending from the president's budget over the next 10 years, reduces the debt as a percentage of the economy, and puts the nation on a path to actually pay off our national debt. Our proposal brings federal spending to below 20% of gross domestic product (GDP), consistent with the postwar average, and reduces deficits by $4.4 trillion.

A study just released by the Heritage Center for Data Analysis projects that The Path to Prosperity will help create nearly one million new private-sector jobs next year, bring the unemployment rate down to 4% by 2015, and result in 2.5 million additional private-sector jobs in the last year of the decade. The Republicans have just put themselves out there on the line before America. 2012 is shaping up to be a clear debate about the budget and the future debt of America as it should be. What will be interesting after both arguments have been made for the next year and a half is where American voters will stand. However, as Christians we can never sacrifice God's character and values for prosperity. We can not forget the life, family and faith values. The best plans of man are bound for failure unless we seek His assistance and in seeking His assistance we can not sacrifice his values for prosperity. This is why to me a candidate in the line of Huckabee on socially conservative issues is a must.

"America needs God more than God needs America, If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under."

"Abraham Lincoln once said, "I would be the most foolish person on this footstool earth if I believed for one moment that I could perform the duties assigned to me without the help of one who is wiser than all." I know that in the days to come and the years ahead there are going to be many times when there will only be one set of footprints in my life. If I did not believe that, I could not face the days ahead."

-Ronald Reagan

Without God it doesn't matter which candidate is running up against Obama. 2012 is truly a tipping point in America.
