The guy from North Carolina was interesting. He said that he doesn't agree with Obama on everything but he trusts Obama. To which many may respond. Why trust a president that has already broken so many campaign promise? Where is the transparency? Where is the budget? What about the deficit? Where was that table discussion on Health Care reform on CSPAN? And many more...
None the less it appears the strategy Obama 2012 will be is a big get out the vote. I believe they understand that if they rely upon the same voters from 2008 they will lose. It will be from new voters from a more liberal base that will win or lose this next election. Obama will have probably close to a billion dollars for his campaign.
We don't even know who the Republican candidate is yet. Which some say is a good thing whiles others are getting antsy. So far the only Republican candidate that has polled well against Obama is Huckabee. The latest national poll of registered voters has Huckabee neck and neck with Obama at 46% but Huckabee leads Obama by 9% amongst Independents while Romney is down 1% amongst Independence and is down 1% overall against Obama. Not only has the latest national poll show Huckabee fairing well against Obama but he has consistently done well in a match up against Obama for some time now.
To me all points to our best chance to beat Obama is Huckabee. Huckabee I believe can well represent our conservative values up against Obama. He comes across more down to earth and argues very well against his opponents and explains in layman's terms. For me as a Christian and to unite the grassroots conservative Christian base that is needed for a Republican win against a billion dollar Obama campaign it is quite a plus that there will be no serious controversy over his Christian character and on social issues. Huckabee does have issues with fund raising but I believe the funds will come if he wins the Republican primaries and maybe as others see him as the best chance to be Obama more will trickle in. The only other concern for me on Huckabee which is a big concern is how will Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania respond which I believe will come as momentum gains for the truly conservative candidate as Obama and Huckabee's views are contrasted.
For more on Huckabee see label Huckabee or start with Huckabee takes his biggest lead yet and takes a 7 point lead over Romney if Palin drops out according to Gallup's recent poll and Latest Poll: Huckabee 46% Obama 46% and Video: Huckabee on Charlie Rose about his latest book "A Simple Government" and Huckabee on Spending vs Investing via the Government and Huckabee on True Self Government a theme of his recent book which has been #2 on a New York Times best seller list for the last two weeks and running and Mike Huckabee on CSPAN for a 40 minute interview about his New York Times best selling book "A Simple Government" and Huckabee book to get an upgrade in classifaction on the New York Times best seller list from "How to.." list to "Non-fiction" best seller list

"America needs God more than God needs America, If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under."
"Abraham Lincoln once said, "I would be the most foolish person on this footstool earth if I believed for one moment that I could perform the duties assigned to me without the help of one who is wiser than all." I know that in the days to come and the years ahead there are going to be many times when there will only be one set of footprints in my life. If I did not believe that, I could not face the days ahead."
Without God it doesn't matter which candidate is running up against Obama. 2012 is truly a tipping point in America.
