"The world is a vast and complex place that can sometimes generate feelings of uncertainty and distress for its inhabitants. Although religion is associated with a sense of meaning and order,
it remains unclear whether religious belief can actually cause people to feel less anxiety and distress. To test the anxiolytic power of religion, we conducted two experiments focusing on the error-related negativity (ERN)—a neural signal that arises from the anterior cingulate cortex and is associated with defensive responses to errors.
The results indicate that for believers, conscious and nonconscious religious primes cause a decrease in ERN amplitude. In contrast, priming nonbelievers with religious concepts causes an increase in ERN amplitude. Overall, examining basic neurophysiological processes reveals the power of religion to act as a buffer against anxious reactions to self-generated, generic errors—but only for individuals who believe."
Now ask yourself why would thoughts about God and Religion cause an increase in anxiety if non-believers really were non-believers?
For many believers this is evidence that God has indeed manifested himself to all men so much so that all are without excuse. See Romans 1:18-32 and in part "...because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse...". This doesn't exactly prove the existence of God or this interpretation of the data but can easily be seen as evidence for that proposition if you will. Others may have a different interpretation as much as this one may be different from theirs but clearly a fair and legitimate one that is consistent with the scriptures that many believers believe. In other words the science doesn't contradict the faith and that faith aids in interpreting the science. Whether that faith is that there is no God or is one.
So then the questions is not whether science and faith contradict but rather what faith is the true faith to interpret the science by to have a true interpretation. The faith that there is no God or the faith that there is a God? The faith of the Muslim, the secular philosopher, the theistic philosopher, the Christ of the scriptures, etc etc etc?

God at AvoidtheBias.com and Values Voter News has posted some posts arguing for the existence of the God of the scriptures which focus in on His love revealed in History like no other God. In other words if there is a God that loves His creatures then which God has best expressed that love, defined it and revealed it throughout human history despite all the short comings of the sinners that God has so loved. See
Rebecca St James music video which shows why sinners who have found Christ love Him so. and

"The idea that the entire course of civilization for over half of the globe could have its fate changed and turned upside-down by a nutcase, for me that's farfetched."-Bono
"No other God went to a cross to show forth his love for those He created and has enabled the spreading of that Divine message throughout the world so much so that the calendar recognized in most places in our world is named in remembrance of Him. After all it is
"In the year of our Lord" 2010 and before that it was B.C. or Before Christ. How is that for a providential and historical hint from our Creator of who our Creator really is?"
"Napoleon also said this, "
Time, the great destroyer, is powerless to extinguish this sacred flame; time can neither exhaust its strength nor put a limit to its range. This is it, which strikes me most; I have often thought of it. This is which proves to me quite convincingly the Divinity of Jesus Christ" after he said, "
In defiance of time and space, the soul of man, with all its powers and faculties, becomes an annexation to the empire of Christ. All who sincerely believe in Him, experience that remarkable, supernatural love toward Him. This phenomenon is accountable; it is altogether beyond the scope of man's creative powers. " and this all after he said, "
I will tell you. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne and I myself have founded great empires; but upon what did these creations of our genius depend? Upon force. Jesus alone founded His empire upon love, and to this very day millions will die for Him.... I think I understand something of human nature; and I tell you, all these were men, and I am a man: none else is like Him; Jesus Christ was more than man....
I have inspired multitudes with such an enthusiastic devotion that they would have died for me.... but to do this it was necessary that I should be visibly present with the electric influence of my looks, my words, of my voice. When I saw men and spoke to them, I lighted up the flame of self-devotion in their hearts....
Christ alone has succeeded in so raising the mind of man toward the unseen, that it becomes insensible to the barriers of time and space. Across a chasm of eighteen hundred years, Jesus Christ makes a demand which is beyond all others to satisfy; He asks for that which a philosopher may seek in vain at the hands of his friends, or a father of his children, or a bride of her spouse, or a man of his brother. He asks for the human heart; He will have it entirely to Himself. He demands it unconditionally; and forthwith His demand is granted. Wonderful!"
Some may dispute these to be the words of Napoleon but if so whoever did pen them penned some interesting observations. Christ is worthy of our love and faith like no other god is. We may not understand it all like we don't understand it all about most things but like most things it doesn't mean they don't exist and are not worthy of recognition."
The scriptures from the times of Moses asked this question that is just as valid as it is today:
"Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?"-Exodus 15:11
Clearly the scriptures speak of a God that has set Himself apart from all the rest so that we can awe in how awesome our loving Creator is and declare and repeat in our generation as much as back then as in the times of the Psalmist who wrote:
"I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever; with my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.....For who in the heavens can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD?"-Psalms 89:1, 6.
No other God has so set apart Himself from all the rest as the Father who sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
