Video: Lisa Murkowski concedes race and Palin backed Joe Miller wins!!!

A major last minute upset!!! Joe Miller beats Lisa Murkowski. Click here to watch a quick 15 minute debate between the two from CSPAN which may have been there last debate for what this race was about. Also, listen to Palin's robocall that may have been quite convincing below.

Here is the run down from the Anchorage Daily News:

"It's looking bad for Lisa Murkowski.

The latest count of absentees increased Miller's lead to 1,469 votes. That's about 200 more votes for him than the last count. Fairbanks probably helped Miller, although the votes were also from Southeast and the Kenai Peninsula.

The Murkowski campaign was really counting on a big boost from Southeast.

That didn't happen. The latest batch was a count of 2,760 votes. It brings the total counted today to about 15,700 votes. Most were Republican primary votes that impact the Miller Murkowski race. The rest were Democratic and Libertarian votes. Still awaiting some more Kenai absentee votes and that will be all that is counted today.

The Division of Elections has an additional roughly 9,000 votes to process. Some will be disqualified and more absentees could come in so the numbers aren't firm. It's also not clear how many are for the Republican primary race and how many are Democratic. Most will be counted on Friday with a final count of largely overseas absentees on Sept. 8.

Today was the biggest chunk of votes. Murkowski has cut Miller's lead from 1,668 votes to 1,469 today. That's not nearly what the Murkowski campaign had hoped for."

Below is Palin's last minute robocall for Miller.

Election Results Alaske: Joe Miller holds on to 1294 vote lead over Lisa Murkowski with 6000 more votes counted and some 19000 to go.

Joe Miller continues to hang on to his lead but loses 374 votes and now leads Lisa Murkowski by 1,294 votes - 49,888 to 48,594. At the beginning of today the vote count was 47,027 to 45,359 with Joe Miller in the lead by 1668 votes. So all added up and subtracted this means that some 6096 extra votes have been counted today so far. According the Anchorage Daily News some 25000+ were to still to be counted before the start of today. So this means there are some 19000 yet to be counted. Which apparently will be counting up to September 8 giving time for those to come in I suppose.

So Joe Miller lost 374 after 6000 counted today with 19000 to go. If he continues to lose 374 votes every 6000 votes counted that would equate to about another 1184 votes lost after 19000. Which would still give him a victory by 110 votes. This is going to be close either way and with it being so close who knows if one side or the other side will immediately concede and not ask for a recount.

Louisiana thinks Bush has done a better job than Obama in handling crisis by 54% to 33% and so why?

Democrat leaning pollster PPP had this revealing poll released last week.A PPP poll asked likely voters who they think is better at handling crisis, Obama or Bush. 54% chose President Bush. Only 33% picked President Obama. Found this at BlueGrass Pundit.

And for the reason why? This from The Heritage Foundation....

Morning Bell: Why Does Louisiana Think This is Obama’s Katrina?

President Barack Obama finished-up his 10-day vacation on Martha’s Vineyard yesterday by flying down to New Orleans where he gave a speech at Xavier University marking the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. The President specifically linked the 2005 disaster with the region’s most recent troubles telling the audience: “Even as you’ve been buffeted by Katrina and Rita, even as you’ve been impacted by the broader recession that has devastated communities across the country, in recent months the Gulf Coast has seen new hardship as a result of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill.”

Obama then rattled through all that has administration has done for the Gulf since the oil spill before concluding that the legacy of Katrina must be “not one of neglect, but of action; not one of indifference, but of empathy.”

But if the Obama administration has treated New Orleans with action and not neglect, with empathy and not indifference, then why does the latest survey from Public Policy Polling, a liberal polling firm, show that not only do Louisianans disapprove of Obama’s actions in the aftermath of the spill by a 61%-32% margin, but a majority, 54%, believe that President George W. Bush did the better job of helping Louisiana through Katrina? The answer was given by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) shortly after the President’s Xavier speech when Jindal told reporters: “The experts all agree, we can end this moratorium before six months. Let’s put our people back to work.”

The moratorium Gov. Jindal was referring to was President Obama’s job-killing oil drilling moratorium which was put in place a full month and a half after the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded on April 20.

The experts Gov. Jindal were referring to was the Bipartisan Policy Center which issued a report to the President’s national oil spill commission last Thursday recommending that the ban be lifted. Jindal continued:

I don’t think they understood how the energy industry worked – I think they really thought that the rigs could simply flip a switch. I hope [they] now have a better understanding of what’s at stake, the jobs that are at stake. Until they came down here, they didn’t understand the human impact in terms of the small businesses and jobs.
President Obama’s oil drilling ban is set to end on November 30, but hopefully the White House will begin to show some understanding of how the Gulf economy works by ending the ban before that. But don’t hold your breath. President Obama made no mention of his oil drilling ban in his Xavier speech.

And the mainstream media is intent on letting him get away with it. Brian Williams interviewed President Obama for NBC News last night and asked only two questions about the oil spill and another about the economy, but made no mention of the oil ban.

The President’s oil drilling moratorium aside, there’s another larger lesson from both Katrina and the Deepwater spill: the federal government can better defend the homeland domestically by returning power to states and localities. For far too long states have grown dependent on FEMA for their disaster response capabilities. As we wrote in April:
In the short span of 16 years, the yearly average of FEMA declarations has tripled from 43 under President George H. W. Bush to 89 under President Clinton to 130 under President George W. Bush. In his first year, President Barack Obama issued 108 declarations—the 12th highest in FEMA history—without the occurrence of one hurricane or other major disaster. In the first three months of 2010, President Obama has issued 32 declarations, which puts him on pace for 128 declarations for the year—the sixth most in FEMA history.
There are two pernicious effects from this dependency: 1) states and localities lose their disaster response capabilities since they believe the federal government will bail them out: 2) FEMA becomes distracted by routine disasters instead of focusing their resources on truly national threats. Let’s save FEMA and its resources for the Hurricane Katrinas and place the burden of responding to routine natural disasters back in the hands of states and localities.

The Obama administration’s approach to the fallout from its oil drilling ban illustrates why that local approach is a better one. Gov. Jindal explained: “In the beginning, the administration suggested people file BP claims with unemployment claims. We made it clear that people want to go back to work.” Less dependency. More work. The Obama administration must end the oil ban and let Louisiana heal.
Quick Hits:
  • Faced with mounting debt and looming costs from Obamacare, many local governments are closing their hospitals.
  • Aging baby boomers who fought nuclear power a generation ago feel the battle is starting all over again.
  • According to USA Today, record numbers of Americans are dependent on government anti-poverty programs.
  • Small businesses have put hiring on hold until there is some policy stability in Washington.
  • The progressive coalition Health Care for America Now is fighting hard to help reelect lawmakers who voted for Obamacare, but they are refusing to talk about it.

Election results update: Joe Miller 1460 votes ahead of Lisa Murkowski and final results may be in by the end of today

Update, 3:30 p.m.: The Miller lead has shrunk again. The latest count minutes ago shows him leading Murkowski by 1,294 votes - 49,888 to 48,594. This is apparently after some 6096 votes have been counted cause before today the vote count was 47,027 to 45,359 favoring Miller by 1668 votes. Apparently today some 15000 will be counted so that means we have 9000 more to go but I also heard reports of 25,000+ that need to be counted. So it is either 9000 to 19000 more to go and in the fist 6000 the lead has been cut by 374 votes. If it keeps at this pace it will be awfully close but Miller barely. Update 04:04 PM: actually there are 25,000+ to be counted so there actually is 19000 or so to go and may not be fully counted till September 8.

As early as today new votes will be counted in the highly paid attention to race in Alaska between incumbent Lisa Murkowski and Palin backed challenger Joe Miller. The final results may be by the end of today.

Here is the latest from HotAir.com who has done a great job in keeping track of this race:

"Murkowski picked up 343 votes in early returns Tuesday. Tea Party Express favorite Miller had 48,051 votes to Murkowski’s 46,726. Miller had maintained a lead of 1,668 votes heading into Tuesday’s count, which narrowed to 1,325."

Update: Just as I published the post, the ADN updated with new numbers. The ballots from Miller’s stronghold in the Mat-Su Valley are now in and he’s increased his lead a bit — but not by as much as Hotline projected. On election day, he crushed Murkowski 62/38 in those districts. On the absentees and questioned ballots, he won … 52/48. He’s added a net 135 votes to lead by 1,460 now but it looks like Murkowski’s going to keep chipping away. More updates coming…"

Two videos revealing why thousands of Americans will be attending a Remember in November March on DC event in Washington D.C. on 09/12

Just last week some 400,000 to 600,000 Americans concerned about the direction our country is spiritually going showed up at the Lincoln Memorial (see Watch Sarah Palin's speech at Restoring Honor Rally that some 400,000 to 600,000 attended today.). Image to the left is not of recent event at the Lincoln Memorial but rather last year's "Taxpayer March no DC event".

Now on 09/12/2010 another event that will probably draw 100,000's will be at the Washington Monument and the US Capitol which will be called this year "Remember in November March on DC". Last year on 09/12 the March on DC event called "Taxpayer March on DC" drew 100,000's which you can watch much of that event at March on DC event on YouTube parts 1-17 in 10 minute parts. This is great just less than two months from the November elections. There will be two other major events on the same day at Sacramento and St Louis (see Mark Your Calendars… “GATEWAY TO NOVEMBER” TEA PARTY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2010 in St. Louis)

Here is a well put together one minute in a half video highlighting last year's March on DC event on 09/12.

Found these interesting videos from Eric Cantor's You Tube channel which are quite consistent with the events above.

This one I missed from back in February.

Video: Illegal immigration clearly is running up healthcare costs for legal immigrants and US citizens.

Even Harry Reid in 1993 agreed. Check out this video from CSPAN as Reid makes a poster child of a speech against illegal immigration.

So the next time a representative like the one below calls you un-American or a racist for wanting to lawfully stop illegal immigration..

Refer them to Reid.....and that it's about crime....and that it's a crime for a rational non-racist and very American reason. What is un-American is taking advantage of Americans and the American system and then calling Americans who expose this abuse un-America!!! Unbelievable hypocrisy....

Believe it or not you can be pro-life and anti-illegal immigration. It's not a contradiction at all. The contradiction is not over here it's over there.

For more reasons why a majority of Americans oppose illegal immigration see Unbelievable. Signs go up in Arizona some 80 miles from the border warning travelers to not enter part of their own country. and Rasmussen, Gallup, NBC, CBS, Pew and now add Quinnipiac to the list of polls that prove America likes Arizona's immigration law. and Terrorists crossing the border: Excellent local news report on terrorist entering the US via the Mexican border. and Should a Christian politician crack down on illegal immigration? If he is compassionat he will.... and What if the Networks were to equally report on why Gallup, NBC, Rasmussen, Pew and CBS polls show overwhelming support for Arizona law?

Election Result update: Joe Miller leads Lisa Murkowski by 1668 votes so far but today new votes will be counted.

As early as today new votes will be counted in the highly paid attention to race in Alaska between incumbent Lisa Murkowski and Palin backed challenger Joe Miller.

Values Voter News has been keeping tabs on the Joe Miller vs Lisa Murkowski primary for Republican nominee for Senate in Alaska. The last report had Joe Miller in a stunning upset winning by 1668 votes with all precincts reporting. However, this did not include absentee ballot votes nor some other early voting results which will probably favor Murkowski as Miller surged late in the game with Palin's endorsement and you can listen to her Robocall below. But before you listen to the Robocall or as you do here is the latest out of Alaska from JuneauEmpire.com that I found via .Hotair.com in a post titled Bombshell: Alaska Libertarian Party says no to nominating Murkowski

Joe Miller's lead over incumbent Lisa Murkowski in Alaska's U.S. Senate race continues to shock the state and the nation.

Miller, backed by the Tea Party Express and Sarah Palin, enjoys a nearly 2-percent edge of election-day votes, and all precincts have reported. However, more than 23,000 ballots remain to be counted.

Saturday, state elections officials released the amount, along with a detailed breakdown of the ballots yet to be counted. Most of those 23,472 ballots are absentee votes, but also yet to be counted are questioned ballots, as well as a few remaining early votes and those from touch-screen voting machines designed for the disabled.

Miller currently holds a lead of 1,668 votes, out of more than 92,000 cast. Elections officials will begin counting the remaining ballots Tuesday, with additional absentees continuing to arrive by mail."

Latest poll results on NM Governor: Susana Martinez 45% to Diane Denish 39%

Update 10/01/2010: Dude: Susana Martinez with a double digit lead and well on to becoming the first female Hispanic Governor in the US

The latest poll result for the state of NM race for Governor confirms Susana Martinez (R) is in the lead. Rasmussen last week had Susana Martinez ahead by 5% (see Latest NM Poll: Susana Martinez (R) 48%, Diane Denish (D) 43% for NM Governor - Rasmussen) and Sunday the Albuquerque Journal released it's first and latest poll showing Susana Martinez leading Diane Denish (D) by a score of 45% to 39% but this is far from over as 16% are undecided and a lot can happen in the next two months. The Rasmussen poll had Susana Martinez at 51% and Diane Denish at 44% after "leaners" were included which may give a hint at where those 16% of undecideds may be leaning. And given the anti-incumbency atmosphere nationwide and Diane Denish being the prior Lt Governor under very unpopular Governor Bill Richardson right now which approval rating is at only 33% according to the same poll Susana may just have a bigger win than expected.

In June Values Voter News had this prediction concerning the race between Susana Martinez and Diane Denish in post titled Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish and the latest poll from Rasmussen shows an uphill battle for Denish by most measurements:

"There is a lot at this moment going for a Martinez upset. The only thing going for Denish is that New Mexico has more Democrats than Republicans and that is the reason why it is so close at this moment and hard to call until we get closer to November. But I would say this is leaning Martinez so far and unless something changes I would bet on Martinez by at least 2% that Rasmussen is giving her here..."

Now Values Voter News revises to spot Martinez at least a 5% victory in New Mexico. The one and only thing that appears to be going for a Denish upset now would be that New Mexico is about 2-1 Democrat and something could swing those Democrats that Martinez has picked off so far back to Denish.

Study reveals that faith can help in relieving anxiety but only for believers and has the opposite effect on non-believers.

Check this abstract from a study done at the University of Toronto via Psychological Science.

"The world is a vast and complex place that can sometimes generate feelings of uncertainty and distress for its inhabitants. Although religion is associated with a sense of meaning and order, it remains unclear whether religious belief can actually cause people to feel less anxiety and distress. To test the anxiolytic power of religion, we conducted two experiments focusing on the error-related negativity (ERN)—a neural signal that arises from the anterior cingulate cortex and is associated with defensive responses to errors. The results indicate that for believers, conscious and nonconscious religious primes cause a decrease in ERN amplitude. In contrast, priming nonbelievers with religious concepts causes an increase in ERN amplitude. Overall, examining basic neurophysiological processes reveals the power of religion to act as a buffer against anxious reactions to self-generated, generic errors—but only for individuals who believe."

Now ask yourself why would thoughts about God and Religion cause an increase in anxiety if non-believers really were non-believers? For many believers this is evidence that God has indeed manifested himself to all men so much so that all are without excuse. See Romans 1:18-32 and in part "...because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse...". This doesn't exactly prove the existence of God or this interpretation of the data but can easily be seen as evidence for that proposition if you will. Others may have a different interpretation as much as this one may be different from theirs but clearly a fair and legitimate one that is consistent with the scriptures that many believers believe. In other words the science doesn't contradict the faith and that faith aids in interpreting the science. Whether that faith is that there is no God or is one.

So then the questions is not whether science and faith contradict but rather what faith is the true faith to interpret the science by to have a true interpretation. The faith that there is no God or the faith that there is a God? The faith of the Muslim, the secular philosopher, the theistic philosopher, the Christ of the scriptures, etc etc etc?

For some answers to that question see label Apologetics and for some debates see label God at AvoidtheBias.com and Values Voter News has posted some posts arguing for the existence of the God of the scriptures which focus in on His love revealed in History like no other God. In other words if there is a God that loves His creatures then which God has best expressed that love, defined it and revealed it throughout human history despite all the short comings of the sinners that God has so loved. See Rebecca St James music video which shows why sinners who have found Christ love Him so. and Testimony of the very Roe of Roe v Wade after finding forgiveness in Christ for her sins. Once abortion activist now trying to reverse Roe v Wade and Bono of U2, "I'm holding out that Jesus took my sins onto the Cross, because I know who I am, and I hope I don't have to depend on my own religiosity" and YouTube: Steve Harvey introducing Jesus to start off your day of worship with.

"The idea that the entire course of civilization for over half of the globe could have its fate changed and turned upside-down by a nutcase, for me that's farfetched."-Bono

"No other God went to a cross to show forth his love for those He created and has enabled the spreading of that Divine message throughout the world so much so that the calendar recognized in most places in our world is named in remembrance of Him. After all it is "In the year of our Lord" 2010 and before that it was B.C. or Before Christ. How is that for a providential and historical hint from our Creator of who our Creator really is?"

"Napoleon also said this, "Time, the great destroyer, is powerless to extinguish this sacred flame; time can neither exhaust its strength nor put a limit to its range. This is it, which strikes me most; I have often thought of it. This is which proves to me quite convincingly the Divinity of Jesus Christ" after he said, "In defiance of time and space, the soul of man, with all its powers and faculties, becomes an annexation to the empire of Christ. All who sincerely believe in Him, experience that remarkable, supernatural love toward Him. This phenomenon is accountable; it is altogether beyond the scope of man's creative powers. " and this all after he said, "I will tell you. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne and I myself have founded great empires; but upon what did these creations of our genius depend? Upon force. Jesus alone founded His empire upon love, and to this very day millions will die for Him.... I think I understand something of human nature; and I tell you, all these were men, and I am a man: none else is like Him; Jesus Christ was more than man.... I have inspired multitudes with such an enthusiastic devotion that they would have died for me.... but to do this it was necessary that I should be visibly present with the electric influence of my looks, my words, of my voice. When I saw men and spoke to them, I lighted up the flame of self-devotion in their hearts.... Christ alone has succeeded in so raising the mind of man toward the unseen, that it becomes insensible to the barriers of time and space. Across a chasm of eighteen hundred years, Jesus Christ makes a demand which is beyond all others to satisfy; He asks for that which a philosopher may seek in vain at the hands of his friends, or a father of his children, or a bride of her spouse, or a man of his brother. He asks for the human heart; He will have it entirely to Himself. He demands it unconditionally; and forthwith His demand is granted. Wonderful!"

Some may dispute these to be the words of Napoleon but if so whoever did pen them penned some interesting observations. Christ is worthy of our love and faith like no other god is. We may not understand it all like we don't understand it all about most things but like most things it doesn't mean they don't exist and are not worthy of recognition."

The scriptures from the times of Moses asked this question that is just as valid as it is today:

"Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?"-Exodus 15:11

Clearly the scriptures speak of a God that has set Himself apart from all the rest so that we can awe in how awesome our loving Creator is and declare and repeat in our generation as much as back then as in the times of the Psalmist who wrote:

"I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever; with my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.....For who in the heavens can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the LORD?"-Psalms 89:1, 6.

No other God has so set apart Himself from all the rest as the Father who sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

NM poll results: Both sides predict Susana Martinez will be ahead of Diane Denish in Albuquerque Journal poll but by how much

NM political blogger Joe Monahan had these predictions by both sides of how much Susana Martinez would be ahead of Diane Denish. Democrat predicts 4% while Republican predicts 10% and at the 50% mark. I would predict maybe 10% but not at the 50% mark but more in between the two numbers like at 7%. Albuquerque Journal will be releasing their first poll this weekend. Rasmussen last night released their latest poll showing Martinez 48% and Diane 43%. Also, see NM Elections latest poll results: Susana Martinez up by 12% over Diane Denish says insiders. Jon Barela still ahead of Martin Heinrich. Harry Teague up on Steve Pearce and Latest Polls on Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish for New Mexico Governor to be released this week and Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish: Compilation of first debate on education and primary interviews including positions on abortion and domestic partnerships.
Veteran Dem pollster Harry Pavlides offers reassurance to his political brethren. The Journal poll, he predicts, will reveal a four point lead for Martinez. He bases that on his knowledge of the poll's methodology--who they poll--and his own gut instinct for the race.
"The Democrats have to learn how to effectively attack Martinez in the final two months" He declared.

Another of our analysts for the cycle, former ABQ GOP City Councilor Greg Payne, offered no Pavlides palliatives. He said Dem newspaper readers Sunday will get heartburn with their Huevos Rancheros, prognosticating not only that Martinez will sport a 10 point lead over Denish, but that Susana will be right at the magic number of 50%.
"We will be surprised by how well Martinez is doing in Bernalillo County," he argued.

Video: Excellent new video in honor of those who supported our troops in Iraq and Iraqis confidence in their own government rises by 13%

Gallup released this poll of how Iraqis view there own own leadership which is another sign of success.

"Iraqis approved more of their own country's leadership than U.S. leadership in early 2010 -- the reverse of their sentiment in 2008. Iraqis' relative confidence in their own leadership at the time of Gallup's most recent survey, which was conducted shortly before the elections in March, could be taken as a positive sign as the U.S. diminishes its military presence in the country and Iraqis take more control....Iraqis' confidence in their leadership rose 13 percentage points between 2008 and early 2010.

In 2006 Democrats gained congress largely over the unpopularity of the Iraq war. In 2008 Democrats won the White House and more seats in congress over the Economy. In the long run they lost on the war and today they are losing on the economy. What is going for the Democrats today?

Cartoon: Summer of Recovery Recall

This November appears to be a time that the voters in America are going to place a Recall label on our current congress and White House. Asking them to not only Recall the current Big Government spending that has not delivered the promises promised but also the health care law and probably a combination of a lot of other things. Back in July of last year Values Voter News posted a post titled Cartoons and charts exposing economic consequences for America's straying from our "In God we trust" roots and it has only gotten worse.

Tomorrow there will be rally to restore honor see Restoring Honor Rally at Lincoln Memorial on 08/28/2010 should be a good one which hopefully will be rally that points us in the right direction toward our American foundations. See When unemployment was high and a civil war was about to break what did the President of the US recommend in 1860? and One nation under God and what does it matter?

And to conclude with 2.5 million you tube hits later watch Tea Party marine singing a largely forgotten portion of the Star Spangled Banner

"Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!"

Latest NM Poll: Susana Martinez (R) 48%, Diane Denish (D) 43% for NM Governor - Rasmussen

Update 11/02/2010: NM poll: Susana Martinez up 52% to 42% according to both Albuquerque Journal poll and Rasmussen.

Rasmussen has just released their latest poll on the NM governor race. Susana Martinez is up by 5% which would make her the first female hispanic governor ever. If you are paying to much attention to the liberal media you won't believe that she is a Republican in the Southwestern and border state of NM. Martinez blew out Allen Weh in the GOP primaries and is backed by Palin. So much for Republican racism. Not only that but Republicans have chosen John Sanchez to run as Lt. Governor and Jon Barela in one of New Mexico's biggest districts for the House to go up against incumbent Martin Heinrich.

The local Albuquerque Journal is going to release their first polling results this Sunday.  See Latest Polls on Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish for New Mexico Governor to be released this week

So much for race card politics in New Mexico this year!!!

To watch the first debate between the two which from my perspective is a must watch as it expresses the sentiment of a majority of American voters this year see Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish: Compilation of first debate on education and primary interviews including positions on abortion and domestic partnerships. and here is my commentary on that debate at Susana Martinez to Diane Denish in first debate between the two: We need to give Diane the "pink slip"..

For other poll numbers from local campaign polls see NM Elections latest poll results: Susana Martinez up by 12% over Diane Denish says insiders. Jon Barela still ahead of Martin Heinrich. Harry Teague up on Steve Pearce

You can also watch the GOP primary debate where I didn't think Susana came off as well as she did in the first debate with Denish at Video: KOB Debate between Weh, Martinez and gang for Republican NM Governor to face off against Democrat. but she is and was clearly the candidate that would most likely beat Denish which won all other arguments plus her exposing Allen Weh's support of Bush's "amnesty" bill and Weh was caught with some false campaign ads.

For Values Voter News' last prediction of this race see Susana Martinez vs Diane Denish and the latest poll from Rasmussen shows an uphill battle for Denish by most measurements. from back in early June and Values Voter News continues to hold that assessment but more confidently now:

"There is a lot at this moment going for a Martinez upset. The only thing going for Denish is that New Mexico has more Democrats than Republicans and that is the reason why it is so close at this moment and hard to call until we get closer to November. But I would say this is leaning Martinez so far and unless something changes I would bet on Martinez by at least 2% that Rasmussen is giving her here..."

Rasmussen's Senate scorecard shows Democrats 49 to Republicans 46 with 5 toss ups which means Republicans can still take the majority in the Senate

Not to fail to mention this is a different more Reagan like Republican party than before as the primaries have ousted many Republicans who voted with Democrats and even McCain reformed his position on illegal immigration during this last primary campaign.

As you read below of what's got to be very disturbing polls for our current Democrat lead congress watch Rove historically explain why he doesn't think this wave is going to die out before November.

Click here for Rasmussen's latest analysis of the balance of power in the Senate. Right now they have Democrats at 49 seats with Republicans at 46 seats and 5 toss ups. Which means Republicans still have a chance at gaining a majority in the Senate.

HotAir.com has posted this post titled Polls, polls, polls: Whitman by eight, Toomey by nine, Rubio by 10; Update: GOP leads on all 10 key issues which says it all. Concerning Rubio I would like to post his speech for the evidence of the patriotic passion that is lingering in the Republican candidates and why they are polling so well as that passion is reflected in the majority of the will of the people right now in America.

Here are some links for recent polling finding's by Rasmussen and more on various subjects that may effect this upcoming November elections at Voters Now Trust Republicans More On All 10 Key Issues and Meg Whitman who promised to defend Prop 8 is leading by 8% over Jerry Brown in California for Governor. Carly Fiorina who also supports Prop 8 cuts into Barbara Boxers lead now trails by 1% for California senate. and President Obama's approval rating hits new low in Gallups polling since his election at 43% and a new high disapproval rating at 50% and American confidence in television news at lowest point ever according to Gallup polls. and Republicans at a record high on Generic poll by Rasmussen with less than 90 days till elections. and Congress at lowest approval rating ever since 1973 according to Gallup
